We have a 6 1/2-year-old Labradoodle. I have brushed his teeth before bed every night since he was a puppy. I have ordered different dog toothpastes over the years and have consistently ordered this Petrodex Toothpaste for Dogs and Puppies because it’s his favorite.After squeezing a small layer of toothpaste on top of his toothbrush, I tap my left thigh, and he'll come sit right beside my knee. He tolerates me lifting the side of his lip so that I can slide his Oral-B toothbrush along his teeth as best I can. When I try to brush his back molars once in a while, he still balks and "gags." Also, I can only brush his front and bottom teeth if I briefly clasp his open bottom jaw with my fingers and quicky do a "scrub" along and behind those teeth.What helps a lot is that he is anxious to taste this Petrodex; I think he likes the supposed poultry flavor. I'll stop brushing so he can periodically lick the paste around his mouth. He also enjoys licking the toothbrush so much that he slides down to lay on my feet as I hold the toothbrush for him. I'll turn it on each side so he can lick all around it. Many times, he's so into it that as I try to pull the toothbrush away, he leans forward to keep licking it. Regular brushing of a dog's teeth is just as important as it is for us.It's also good that it has a long shelf life. I ordered it January, 2025, and the box and tube both have an expiration date of April, 2027.If you research the ingredients in this enzymatic toothpaste, they appear to be perfectly safe. I recommend this product for dogs.

First time using it works very good effective ingredient. And top of that my dog loves the taste so he got accustomed to it me using the product in his mouth. He thought I was giving him a treat every time I brush his teeth. Highly recommend this. Thank you, Amazon.

This tooth works good, BUT it has high levels of Phosphates which are very hard on older dog's kidneys.

Tried the Arm & Hammer toothpaste for my dog and she HATES it (this is coming from a dog that will literally eat anything) but after her groomer used this to brush her teeth, I had to get my own. She tries to eat the toothpaste off the brush but least she likes it and it helps keep her breath fresh and teeth clean :)

My dog loves this!!! It’s so easy to brush his teeth because he wants to lick the paste the whole time so I don’t have to struggle with him! Also good for the price

I have used this product for many years. The last tube I received seemed slightly thicker than usual. Several days after using it I realized that there was a hole in the tube. Unfortunately, since I usually purchase these well in advance, it was a few days past the return window. It is a great product, however. Just wish I had noticed the defect sooner.

Works better than anything else I've tried. AND my fur baby, Leesa, loves the flavor. She runs to me now when I call her for teeth brushing. Of course the peanut butter flavor is the big seller. After about 4 days, I noticed her breath was smelling better (before her smelled AWFUL 😖). Well, I found a product that boasts it's better than toothpaste, easier to use because you just add it to their food. Oh, it's just dried seaweed. It's boasts being made in the USA. Well, I'm going back to the toothpaste. At least I know it works as advertised.
