I loved this at first, but then I started noticing little bumps on my arm where the sisal shedded and poked me. I still believe it's embedded right in the bumps Not as great as I thought it would be. It's stiff but not stiff enough and I was also concerned about bacteria accumulating in the crevices where the rope is wrapped around it. It just hangs in my closet now and I'm back to my trusty boar bristle hair brush that I bought a long time ago for dry brushing.

I am very happy with this dry brush.Brush your arms and legs up towards your heart. Use a circular motion on your midriff, abdomen and underarms. I was shedding extensively after a bone marrow transplant and using this daily (even without showering afterwards) which not only solved my problem, but also made my skin in incredibly soft.I can reach every inch of my back with it, but I am small and quite flexible. If you are not, then get this item with a longer handle.I learned about this item from Goop, but the price on Amazon was more reasonable.If you haven’t tried dry brushing your skin, I highly recommend it. Especially good for older women. (I am 67.)

I have very dry skin and have tried several ways to get a smoother skin surface. This brush is a gentle way to brush away dry skin without scratching. It's not meant to remove callused skin and is too gentle for that, but great on my legs and arms. It does make a cloud of dry skin flakes so I can see why they recommend using it in the shower (before turning on the water) but if you have a hand vacuum handy, that works to tidy up the flakes both from carpet and the brush. My only objection is the handle which could be longer, and is a bit weird to hold.

I have used many varieties of dry body brushes over the years. This one stands out: it has more flexibility, finer and denser bristles than most and its shape works to allow you to brush the contours of your ankles to the flat of your stomach and shoulders. My skin feels good afterward - not abused as it has from some other brushes, just simply healthier.

The brush seems fine. Just rough enough. The oil was missing from my order. Disappointed.
