A Raft of Sea Otters

I think I'm biased, sea otters are my favorite animal, this has beautiful photography and the text is a nice size even for younger readers, thank goodness because I bought this to share with my son, turning 7 soon. The photos of course really got his attention, but the facts are also fun and easy to grasp. I just love looking at the pictures, who can't get enough of the adorable sea otter's face? Very interesting, too. Recommended, I hope to bring it to my son's 2nd grade class to read and share with the kids. I know they'll love it

I purchased this book as a gift for a child, and he was thrilled with it. In fact, he liked it so much that I bought another one for a girl, who also liked the book. It is charming, and the pictures are good. Both children liked the fact that the pictures were taken on the Central Coast of California, because that is where we live. I recommend it as a good present for anybody between 5 and 10. Vicki Leon is one of my favorite authors for adult books, and she is just as interesting when she writes for children.

All of our family members have read this book and enjoyed it. From our 2 year old, 6 year old, 9 year old to my husband and I. We have enjoyed the reading (easy read) and the pictures are very cute as well. It is not a "baby picture" book but it is not geared to "a scientist" and "hard to understand". Perfect book!!thanks!!

A very informative and nicely photographed book on the California sea otter suitable for the young )middle school?) reader.

Great pictures and good facts about otters and how they live. Had some very interesting things that I would have never knew about them. My girlfriend loved it, thanks!

My 8 year old loves otters and had to do a book report. When she found this book it was an ideal selection. The photography is done by 13 photographers and many fantastic shots. It too was a great source of information that covered all areas of their lives; The history of their return from near extinction, their daily struggles for survival, habitat, mating, mothering and more.

i got this book for my 9 year old daughter. It was a good investment for the whole family. The photos are so cute and the information in the book very good. Not a very big book but it covers all you need to know. However since it is not a 'standard' size book, it got bent in the packaging from Amazon. Otherwise, all good. would recommend it.
