Worked Perfectly for Sealing Out Rodents
This product does exactly what it’s meant to do. I used it to seal an old hole on the side of my garage that previously had plastic stuffed into it to keep rodents out. I added a bit of copper mesh, and the foam flowed right through and expanded all around it, sealing everything up nicely. As a first-time user, it did get a little messy, but that was more user error than the product itself. It’s really a single-use item, but that seems standard for this type of product. Totally worth the money—especially for the peace of mind and not having to keep putting the job off. I would definitely recommend it. Pros: - Works exactly as intended - Expands well and seals thoroughly - Great for pest and rodent prevention - Easy to apply once you get the hang of it - Worth the cost for peace of mind Cons: - Can be messy for first-time users (likely avoidable with experience)

Does the job!
Must follow instructions!! Truly be careful because if you go hard it will make a mess. I didn’t use it in places where looks mattered and for the most part it didn’t look terrible but it’s tricky to use. I found it hard to insert the part onto the top. Once that is figured out it’s easier. However, given that the spreading part doesn’t come apart, it seems it’s a one time use— or a few times use.

Effective Barrier Against Pests: Great Stuff Pestblock
Update 12/1/2024: Previously using the foam applicator tube had been challenging and messy. Yet, I don't appear to be smart enough to operate the new "Smart Dispenser" tip. I simply can't get the Smart Dispenser tips to work properly or sometimes at all. I'll try another brand with the old tip style. Living in a rural setting means taking a hands-on approach to keep unwanted critters at bay. My proximity to neighbors with cattle and chickens, along with my encounters with various small wildlife, necessitates a strong defense against potential intruders. Fifteen years ago, I discovered a method that has proven effective: installing copper mesh secured with Great Stuff 99112809 Smart Dispenser Pestblock foam under the bottom edges of my home's James Hardy cement siding. This combination has successfully prevented entry from various pests. The Pestblock foam is particularly noteworthy for its durability and pest-deterring capabilities. However, application can be messy and requires careful preparation. I learned the hard way that protective gear such as gloves, long sleeves, and pants are non-negotiable, as the foam adheres to skin stubbornly, leading to an uncomfortable removal process. I'm currently applying the same technique to seal the bottom openings of a steel shop building, aiming to deter mice without creating an entirely impenetrable barrier. Despite the application challenges, Great Stuff Pestblock remains my go-to solution for effective pest control in a rural setting. Its performance outweighs the cleanup inconvenience, making it a valuable tool in maintaining a pest-free environment.

Does NOT Stay Gray!
We bought this for the spaces between the sidewalk, joints and by the house. We specifically got gray so it would blend in. Ha! Joke's on us. Within a day it was turning yellow, then turned bright orange. We're going to try painting it next so it won't stick out so badly. Also, it expands big time. It definitely needs to be trimmed off.

Better than all the others
I am building a house and have used a lot of gap filler. This one with the new dispenser is amazing. They fixed the "straw problem" and this works really well at all angles. Fills decently. And the best part is I was actually able to use the entire can without it clogging. Also was able to store a can and come back and reuse a week later. I won't buy one without this type of dispenser ever again.

Great Stuff? More like Great Mess!
I bought this to deal with a mouse problem and expected it to dispense like Great Stuff foam. Instead, it started hissing and spraying out from the bottom of the applicator, making a huge mess all over my kitchen sink and my hands. Honestly, I saw other reviews mention this and figured I’d be careful. I made sure the applicator was tightened down as much as possible. It wasn’t loose and didn’t move at all, but it still leaked. I tried to use it anyway, but it was very hard to control. Even when I got it into the mouse entry point, it didn’t apply the way it should. I expected a neat, controlled bead like the pictures show. What I got was uneven, sloppy foam that spread everywhere. Once you start using it, you basically have to rush because you only get one shot. The foam clogs the applicator, so there’s no "saving it for later". Total mess and a complete waste of money. I was stuck with a big cleanup, a huge bag of steel wool I probably won’t use, and no real confidence that this will even solve the mouse problem. It just made things worse. Luckily, this is a rental apartment and not my own house, so someone else will ultimately have to deal with the aftermath. Still, I would recommend choosing a different product. Don’t trust the “no drip” claims or the marketing.
