Poor Quality & Design
Was DOA. Returned for refund on day of delivery. Cable appears to be able to freely turn through 180 degrees inside hub body, hence connectivity problems. Also, the ports are upside down. On most hubs this would probably not be noticed, or a problem, but if the device has an indicator LED on the top, you'd expect the manufacturer to get the ports orientated correctly.

Small and of high quality design (use of its power supply input needed for high capacity drives?)
Regarding RSETECH Hub 3.0 on Windows 7 (x64). I haven't tested it on Windows 10 (x64) yet.It is stylish (I got the black one but all colours seem nice), very small and of high quality aluminium body with only small white plastic parts (power supply plug and its opposite USB input). It feels sturdy and it is nice on touch.USB 3 plug which connects to PC is also of very nice design and quality which actually clicks securely (!) when inserted deeply (haven't encountered another such plug yet). Power input female plug is small (due also to smallhub's size), and needs caution when trying plugs (power plug is not included) so as not to damage it.No drivers are included and once installed the hub functions properly (could need uninstall from Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers, as with similar devices, and scan for hardware changes again, so that Windowsreinstall it properly). However, it was not working with any of the two high capacity USB3.0 drives (Toshiba Canvio Premium 3TB and WD My Passport Ultra 2TB) that I used. The problem is that the laptop which I used does not have a USB 3.0 port, so I had to install separately an ExpressCard 34 with one USB 3.0 port.RSETECH Hub 3.0 could probably work with these drives, if used on an original USB 3.0 port, or by using external power supply on it (haven't tested it yet). Other USB devices with low current demands (e.g. mouse), seem to workproperly. These drives though, do work properly when inserted separately directly on the ExpressCard34 Hub 3.0. I used though external USB 2.0 supply, with "Disable USB 3.0 powered management functions" option checked(Device Manager USB > (e.g. ) Reneseas... properties). Also, a high quality USB 3 cable, I think makes a difference.I tried also another hub USB 3.0 (by using its external power input), where also it was not possible to connect properly, together or separately, the drives (drives tended to disconnect after a while and making "click" sounds). Both hubs which I've tested, worked fine on USB 2.0 ports. It seems nevertheless, that it is a little tricky to use high capacity drives on USB 3.0 hubs connected to USB 3.0 adapters.I didn't return RSETECH though, due to its very high quality, because it does not seem to have any fault and because I really like it.I could use it probably elsewhere and with different configuration, or when I connect an external power supply cable to it and check disk drives' functionality again (if it works, I have to re-rate at 5 stars).---Informatively, regarding the combination Hub 3.0 and ExpressCard34 USB3.0 adapter:The StarTech ExpressCard34 seems to be recognised properly by using its own drivers. Windows found the same driver version (v3.0.23.0 - 21.08.2012) too, which works fine. The StarTech ExpressCard34 USB3.0 is recognised by windows 7 as:Reneseas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller (v3.0.23.0 - 21.08.2012) &Reneseas Electronics USB 3.0 Root Hub (v3.0.23.0 - 21.08.2012)The RSETECH is recognised by windows 7 as:Reneseas Electronics USB 3.0 Hub (v3.0.23.0 - 21.08.2012) &Reneseas Electronics USB 2.0 Hub (v3.0.23.0 - 21.08.2012)I managed to install both of them simultaneously, although this could be tricky for similar combinations, cause both devices use probably similar (or the same?) NEC Reneseas chip.I was not so lucky so, using CSL Hub 3.0 (two ports), with which I had issue inserting or installing it properly and so returned it (even after installing it somehow, it was not able to recognise my two high capacity drives, probablydue to lack of external power supply). I don't know if the specific device had problem, but I couldn't check another one nevertheless. The problem with these ExpressCards is that there are numerous "different" cards out there, which all share somehow the same external design (apart from the label) and probably the same NEC Reneseas chip.It is difficult to decide (or better guess) which is better choice. I am not sure also, if any of these two-port express cards which can be fully inserted in the slot (without protruding at all), although look elegant, could be used withdisk drives of high capacity, due to their lack of space for a power input plug. So, a one-port (fully inserted) card with power input plug, is preferable according to my opinion.RSETECH hub 3.0 sits properly then on StarTech ExpressCard34, and everything seems to work fine. Unfortunately, it does not work with the two high capacity drives mentioned.

A good bit of kit
Stylish, works well, also has a 3.5 mm power socket (seems to have been air brushed out on the photo) in case you need to connect several external hard drives. The 3.5 mm socket will connect to an external power supply or a near by USB2 socket via an appropriate cable (not supplied). Works OK without additional power with low power devices (pen drives and mice) or mains powered devices (printers and scanners).

Does the job
Nice little device, works well connected to my aged MacBook Pro. I have webcam, keyboard & mouse and printer connected at the same time. There's also a external power supply input to use with a suitable charger. But this is only necessary if you need to connect usb powered memory stick 64gb or above and cd/dvd writers, etc.

Average
The once plugged in if you have 1 device in it, then great The second you put and more device in it then not so great power output drops and it doesn't always pick up each device...
