This brace is light weight and adjustable, but does not have the "heft: that I was expecting. The finger pull tabs also seem light weight compared to the pull tabs on the Horizon 627 or 631 brace, which I do use.This Quick Draw brace would provide definite comfort improvement over no brace at all, but I did not find it as satisfactory for me as the heavier brace. Also, the enclosed instructions for the Quick Draw brace spoke about some sort of "adjustable anterior plate." However, that plate is an optional additional cost extra for the QD brace, so you should consider making that known in your basic Amazon posting.

As a 50 year old man who has experienced back pain dating back to playing football and rugby, I have lived with lower back pain for decades. Like everyone else who has experienced chronic back pain, I have tried everything yoga, inversion, chiropractic, muscle relaxers, medicine for pain, medicine for nerves, medicine for medicine--none of which worked for more than a few hours or that left me feeling loopy. That all changed when a person walked by me as I sat in a restaurant and I saw that they had on back brace that looked normal or standard but that had a draw string mechanism that I had never seen. I asked the person who was wearing this brace "what is that?" To which he responded, "its a dream come true." This response--to anyone that has NOT been awake at 2 or 3 in the morning because their back hurts so bad that sleeping for more than an hour or two is a distant memory--sounds over the top but to people with real back pain, it makes perfect sense. The gentleman explained to me his back problems and told me that this brace gave him instant and dramatic improvement including allowing him to sit and work and to not dread the prospect of standing up or moving wrong. I left the restaurant and ordered what I now know is the Quickdraw brace and it is GREAT. I have never written a review for any product but as a sufferer of chronic back pain and because of the relief this brace provides, I am writing this review to help people who were like me.

This brace is great! i received one from my chiropractor for a bulging disc. I am in the healing process but it takes months and is painful. This brace helps me like a walker helps someone with balance issues. I am able to stand upright in a proper postural stance and do things like squat to get things that are elevated but not on the ground which is fine, because before squatting was far too difficult.The way this brace has a double mechanism (Drawstring) helps in getting it firmly around your waist. Being female and curvy with hips this can go on nice and tight but the drawstring allows it to get right against my body and properly work. I bought one for someone with a herniated disc so that they can work in their yard or around the house knowing their posture is not being compromised due to pain. HIGHLY recommend.The disc i have messed up is L5 which is way down there so I wear this so that the top part is above my belly button and along my upper buttocks to lock in that area of my spine. The other person I purchased this for has his L1-L4 messed up so he will wear his a bit higher than me but I don't think it matters too much. Some days I wear it up high like a corset and it still works.It is a good quality piece too but I can see it wearing out eventually (1+ years is likely with good care). PS wear it over your shirt or clothes!

I ordered this brace because I already have one that was provided to me by my back surgeon at my last back surgery. After wearing it for 5 months and now not having to wear it full time I needed one to wear when I am working out side. Being I live in Florida I sweat a lot outside so I did not want to get my good one all sweaty and smelly. My husband recently purchased an Elite back brace from Aspen Medical Products that he used extensively while we were on vacation in New Zealand last month. It was a life saver for him. It provided perfect lumbar support as we were negotiating walks on rough terrain to access fishing spots. He simply could not have tolerated the boulder scrambling without this brace. It applies easily, can be mini-adjusted to provide the exact amount of pressure/tightness necessary and is extremely durable. He has tried other braces that do not begin to compare with this one.
