These lights did not feel cheap. The remote control seemed to be a nice quality. They are a nice light, bright but not too bright. Both the on and off timer work well. There are several selections for the length the light stays on. The flickering mode creates a nice candle effect.

This is a really nice little lantern and well made. The distressed finish is terrific. The only problem is Amazon also lists some lights as “frequently bought together” with the lantern. The problem is that the hole in the back of the lantern is too small for the lights. Whoops! I had to cut two lots in the back of the lantern so I could bend the section out to allow room to insert the light. I then bent the piece back in place. Amazon should not be displaying these two items together. The lights(and remote) work very well by the way.

The media could not be loaded. I had purchased these lights early for Halloween this year, and they ended up being a real life saver for this busy mom. My intention when I bought them was to use them in my kids pumpkins as soon as the stores started carrying the fresh pumpkins that they could carve. Around the time the pumpkins came out, I got very sick and spent some unplanned time in the hospital. As a result, carving pumpkins with our kids became the last thing my husband and I were focused on. Thank God I had these lights! We ended up using these lights in some store bought fake pumpkins we purchased at the store. They worked amazing and the kids were thrilled. The lights each take 3 triple AAA batteries, but they have lasted quite awhile. There is an automatic timer mode that allows them to turn on at the same time each day without you having to do anything (you can decide for how long you want them on between 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours). They also turn off on their own, and turn back on again by themselves. There is a regular solid steady light setting and a flicker light setting that looks just like real candle light. There are lots of other options on the remote, but no others that I needed. I was seriously thrilled! My kids completely had forgotten that they didn’t actually carve those pumpkins. We were finally able to carve our pumpkins today, and my only regret is that I only had two of these (one package of 2 lights). The instructions said you can put them in a ziplock baggie and seal it up to use them outside, which I am looking forward to. Especially since they can be set to turn on and off at the same time everyday so I don’t have to mess with it. My plans are to order some more lights, put the pumpkins on the porch, set them to turn on and off, and forget about them! The light these put out are so good I plan on using them year round. I have decorative lanterns, candle holders, votives, and other things that they will look amazing in. I am very, very happy with this purchase!

Nothing too special but worked perfectly. I was concerned about trying to clean them after using them inside pumpkins (especially with how fast carved pumpkins grow mold!), so I wrapped them in plastic wrap before putting them inside - I definitely recommend doing that.The flickering function was a fun twist on a simple pumpkin light. Figuring out the remote was a little annoying but insignificantly so. Love these pumpkin lights! They really show to light up the pumpkins. The remote control is great for easy on and off!

I purchase this for some of our Jack o lanterns that did not come with a light. They look amazing now, it can either stay static or flickering orange. One thing I really liked is that the seller send a message with instructions and tips to preserve them as well!

I was pleasantly surprised how well this product works. The light has a yellow tint and its brightness is adjustable with a remote control. It has a timer that is very convenient. I would definitely recommend it and if I buy more Halloween decorations, I will use these lights.

I bought 4 candles (2 boxes of 2) way in advance (like after last Halloween), so I'd be ready to go with 4 new pumpkins I'd also gotten on sale after the holiday.The first 3 work just fine. The 4th doesn't work at al. I even tried putting in new batteries (even tho the ones I originally inserted were also new). Each needs 3 AAA batteries not included, just so you know. They must be really cheaply made (all plastic) so my guess is, unless I've just been extremely unlucky, you should order more than you need.UPDATE: Upon opening the new lights, I learned a few things:1. The light now requires 2 AA instead of 3 AAA batteries2. The remote has changed and now requires 3 AAA batteries. (the original one required none).3. The light coming out of the device has changed. I personally like the older one because it's less glarey and more orange than the new ones.
