is there an effort made to separate this product from gluten products?

I honestly do not know - I have Celiac disease, so eat gluten-free, and I have been happily using this product on/with nearlyeverything for the past 2-3 years. The Amazon price has gone from their usual about $20 for 12 packages to about $30 over the last year - I am finding I can buy the same product off of Jewel shelves in their cereal department for about $20 / per 12 packages when Jewel has it on sale - which they often do.

This puffed corn is kernel free right?

It is made from whole grain corn so it does include bits of the kernel. It is not like "Kix" if that is what you are asking. That being said, it is not sharp or scratchy. Very delicious. The kernel is broken apart much more than on popcorn so that you hardly notice it.

Is this organic? Description says grown without harmful pesticides and herbicides but does not say organic

Ellie, My bags do not say organic on them, so probably not. I believe there are other corn puffs in similar packaging on Amazon that are labeled organic - I've had them a time or two, and noticed only the difference of the organic puffs being slightly smaller, and slightly harder. I have had Celiac disease for years, so can't eat foods with gluten in them (Rye, Oats, Barley, Wheat), so I use lots of corn products. I have been buying these corn puffs in the 12-bag box for probably 10 years now, and use them in my GF cereal mix, on my salads, etc. and love them. I grew up on a farm, and am now 75+ yrs old, and active and in good health - so I'm not too wrapped up in insisting on organic myself, since everything we did when I was youth on the farm was organic, and I experienced what that was like for many years.
