NutriGold Whole-Food Biotin Gold, 2,500 mcg, 120 Plantcaps

I am a regular customer of this product, I can tell a difference when I take this versus when I do not take this. When I received my last bottle of biotin, I noticed that the capsules were smaller, I e-mailed the nutrigold company to inquire if the product's formula had been changed. WELL a lady named claire littlefield, representing the company sent me a e-mail, stating that she could not answer my questions, because the company did not sell this product, how stupid to have someone working for a company,who does not know what the company sells, OR they did not wish to confirm the product biotin gold had indeed changed, was it for the better or worse. I am very upset, I love this company and the quality products it sells. I guess even the best companys reach a point where they change the product, putting in cheaper ingredients, so, we as customers should never take for granted the quality of a companys products. I love amazon.com and I always get a good price and great service, but this falls on the company nutrigold not amazon. Update, well I have pie on my face to be honest, I tried e-mailing company again, it showed the same address as my last bad experience,so I called!. It turns out there are two nutrigold companys, one in the usa the other england, the england one was the one I got such a bad experience from. The lady who represented the usa company, based in Utah, so very nice, she agreed the british company could have been more professional, by telling me I had contacted wrong company and given correct address, but anyway, it turns out the new biotin are smaller now, and they are coming out with a 10,000 mcg capsule! Yea I will continue to take this product because it DOES work. Thank you Amazon for giving me the chance to correct my oops

I have PCOS and have been using a birth control pill for the past 5 years. I had to stop the birth control end of previous summer for a duration of 5-6 months. More I was also under heavy stress due to graduate school exams. With this combination I started losing hair like crazy. Even though I started the birth control again almost a year ago my hair loss did not stop.I have been using the biotin for almost two months now. And definitely my hair feels thicker and my hair loss is 50% or so less. Of course your body adopts to hormonal changes slowly and I was not expecting a miracle. However this is the best supplement that has helped me. I have used multivitamins, vitamin B complex, BioSil but Biotin made the most difference.Also make sure to ask your doctor to check your vitamin D3 levels. I was D3 deficient and this as well contributes to hair loss. So every day I take D3 2000iu and biotin. Will see how my hair comes along in the next few months.

This product does an excellent job at strengthening hair and nails however it causes acne and water retention as a side effect! It may also cause an appetite increase. I am a man and I took these pills to grow my facial hair. I'm 5'10 and I normally weigh 180 so I wasn't sure when where the weight was coming from when i rose to 190 and started feeling constantly bloated without changing my diet. For some people these effects aren't noticeable but apparently anything over 1000mcg a day is likely to cause you to gain weight that is difficult to lose while on the pill. Someone had a theory that this pills acts ALOT like a steroid (hair growth, appetite increase, water retention, acne, bloating) and I completely agree. Biotin is a steroid-like drug, if you think you want to RISK taking it for its major advantage and disadvantages, DRINK LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER.

I've been using this for a while now, about two months, I guess. I got this to try to help my hair. I was taking a med that dried my hair out unbelievably badly. It looked like witch hair, no kidding. I quit that stuff and I got this biotin to try to get my hair back to some semblance of good hair. Well, so far the hair is still pretty bad. It has come back a bit from where it was, but not where I want it. As soon as I can, I am going to get the hair cut, and try to go from there. The thing is, my nails have improved greatly since taking this biotin. I wasn't looking for that. My nails were very ridgy, now they are starting to smooth out. I have taken biotin in the past without these results, so I am thinking this must be pretty good stuff.

My hairdresser insisted that I try this product, she and a few other girls swear by it. They did not recommend this particular brand, but I choose this brand because it has no additives or fillers (which is the only reason I gave it a 3 star rating instead of 1 star). I have been taking it for a little more than a month. I don't feel like it has done anything for me thus far, except for make my face break out pretty bad. My hair doesn't seem to be growing and actually, I honestly feel like I am loosing more hair during my daily brushes than I was before I started this program. My nails aren't growing any better at all and still break. I am going to finish the bottle and see if anything changes, but I don't have much faith in this. I am mostly going to finish the bottle just because I paid for it and I don't want it to be a complete waste. I will update my review when I take my last pill.

I have definitely noticed a difference in my nail strength and growth, I usually can't stand the feeling of having long nails so I have always kept them short but now they feel strong and have grown quite long, I can't wait to get a manicure! And my hair seems fuller and there has been less breakage but this could also be from a combination of using a better shampoo and conditioner. I did get a bad headache for the first few days of taking 2 capsules per day, so I cut back to just one capsule a day and the headaches have stopped. I recommend this product, no gmo, or any junk added.
