genuine product. Not a knockoff. Worked great as a thread locker on my sons Traxxas RC truck

Mostly used on small engines. Last used to secure a somewhat loose crank gear.

I used Loctite 263 to mount a damaged idler pully to an aluminum engine block. Issue fixed, and mounting bolt is holding tight.

It’s tough to find this stuff in any local auto parts store. I had a mechanic friend at John Deere recommend it to me. The application is so much better than with typical silicones in their aluminum “toothpaste” type tubes. And with over 10,000 mikes in the rebuild, there are no leaks anywhere. It’s all dry underneath 👍

What I ordered was not what I got. Different part number and different label from what is advertised. Made in India. Not sure if it's an authentic Loctite product.

Loctite cures anaerobically, meaning that it cures when not exposed to air. So there has to be air in the bottle to keep it from curing. I guarantee that none of the people complaining about there not being 50ml have actually measured it.

I am using this not as a thread lock but to help secure the timing sprocket on a diesel VW. If the sprocket is the tiniest bit lose it eventually breaks the key. This compound makes sure that there is no slop at all.
