But received no confirmation/intimation from him(Nalin) on encountering of this issue.- Every technology related person know that WARRANTY doesn't cover Burning Issues. Your device PCB found to be totally burnt to which these repair charges are totally reasonable.

Bought pert in around August last year but could only get it working on November when my new room got ready. The product worked tolerably for 5 months with ofcourse many command glitches. Since they use IFTTT for Google Home a lot of times the commands are missed. And other times it takes too long. This is with 100mbps internet. Secondly the scenes suddenly disappear from the app, so you have to re do everything again.But now after 5 months the product stopped working suddenly. I complaint to the company and the asked me to courier it to their office. After survey company says that there will be extra charge of 500rs since the product is burnt due to voltage. Now this exclusion is not mentioned anywhere. Also this is under warranty, god knows that will happen after warranty.Product sits inside the switch board, it should take minor voltage fluctuations. And this is talking about Delhi where in voltage fluctuations is close to none.Purchased by distributor in noida. I have been trying to automate my home using the wifi switches. I came across two devices one was pert and the second was sonoff. I purchased pert longtime ago but I did not install it. I was waiting for my new home to complete. When that finally happened I installed it based on the video they have provided on youtube. It worked well with wifi for two days and I always had issues with the alexa integration most of the time I was getting a message that device is unresponsive. So alexa voice commands did not work 80 % of the time and it did work few time and that is random.After two days the switch stopped working and I was getting a message that “Device Un responsive” the only way to see this is to open the box and the see if the LED is working. You will need an electrician to do that if your setup is complicated. After following a lot of troubleshooting steps it was decided that the chip is damaged automatically. The support person said we have to send the device to them with 2500 charge to fix this.Pros:1. Worked well with wifi before giving problems2. Alexa integration which works sometimes3. App gives power usage metricsCons:1. Customer service, they themselves do not have the complete understanding of this product, but they are patient. They always try to prove that you have damaged the device and warranty terms are whatever they decide on that day.2. Alexa integration is very botchy. You cannot really rely on alexa voice commands to get this working. It did work few times and the rest of the times the pert server was down or unresponsive3. Flickering lights, the lights connected to pert will always flicker4. Troubleshooting is pretty much shooting in the dark and if something goes wrong. Most of the times would you toggling your fan switch seven times to see if the wifi is detected or just open the electrical box.5. Cost for replacement.I have left his and taken the sonoff devices they are very reliable even though they are Chinese. Don’t waste your money on this hit or miss product specially at this price range.
