The media could not be loaded. I was very happy with the way this Advent calendar that i designed for my nephew turned out. The wooden drawers were well-made and large enough for small treats and gifts, and for larger items i put a note in the drawer and sent a tin to his mom to hold them (each was labeled with a number corresponding to the number on the drawer). All of the decorations were bought at a thrift store (music box, Xmas gift cards, Rudolf Golden book, sled tree ornament, bottle-brush fir trees) and the battery operated string of mini LED lights was affixed with a hot glue gun. I decorated the drawers with scraps of wrapping paper, illustrations from the Rudolf book, and recycled Christmas cards. My nephew loved it! Highly recommend for a unique and personalized gift.

I made advents for all my nieces and nephews and two were in this style. These are super sturdy and well made. They did not disappoint ! I had so much fun painting them!

So, unlike the bulk of the reviews, I did not buy this for the holidays. I wanted to express to a new sweetie in my life that, even after knowing them for 2 months, I feel like we have a solid chance to (hopefully) know each other for many more months.The idea is this: In order to celebrate each month together, we put tokens or items that represent dates and experiences together. We each have a drawer for each month for the first year. The drawers are decorated with things we both like: rally cars, movies, wine, road trips, sex, love, my cat, his dog, etc. Some of these are inside jokes (thumbs, boggle)The shadow box has some banners that are phrases we use to downplay our affection. I made my first oragami heart here! So proud. The old maps are ones I have for another project, I used "Superstition Hills" because of our love of the paranormal. And finally, the drawer numbering are meant to represent 8-sided die, because he loves tabletop RPG's.Super, super happy with how this turned out. I did sand everything first, and wore a mask. I only put one coat on the pine wood, but did do all corners, every drawer inside out, top and bottom, and did the full frame on the back as well. I used Elmer's Glue for the primary stickers/images, and a hot glue gun for the banners.All the images here really inspired me, so I hope this inspires you too. <3

I got these to make advent calendars for my mom and stepmom and they worked great. The little drawers are a nice size, big enough to tuck in tea bags, candy, earrings, and other little goodies. The wood is a little rough, so some light sanding is needed, but aside from that, this is very well made and worked great for my purposes

My mom loved this advent calendar. I painted it and added my own personal flair creating a Mother’s Day card that lasts all month long. The drawers are pretty tiny, 2in squared. Initially I was going to place little gifts in the drawers but the space was tight most cases. This idea turned into small love notes plus two surprise grab bags of gifts allowing her to open a sweet message every day along with a small gift. (Gift ideas: lipsticks, eye liners, travel size or single use items, food coupons, etc) make it what you need. It truly is a blank canvas ready and willing to accept your ideas. The pic included was only drawers complete. I added a mirror and pics in the middle empty space. Just fyi.

The product came fast and in good condition. It was a perfect piece to make a Halloween countdown calendar for my daughter-in-law. The wooden box allowed paint and decoupage to adhere well.

Great product-in the process of painting it but took advice in previous reviews and sanded and primed and numbered the boxes and it goes together beautifully! Using it for a Halloween Advent-it is turning out fantastic! The Price was reasonable, the delivery time was accurate and the packaging was very secure! Two thumbs up!
