Butter on the dinner table.

I bought this for a gift. I really like them.

Overall the butter dish is good for the American-style butter blacks that are cut in thin quarters. The ad photos are a bit misleading because they look like the dish can accommodate the European style blocks like Kerrygold comes in, but it can't.

There is nothing to dislike if you want a fancy looking glass butter dish at un-fancy prices. It's heavy and beautiful. holds butter...don't know how to describe it better. It would work really well for a housewarming gift.After you buy one for yourself.

Lid did not fit had to return and get a new one.

This is an attractive butter dish and has a good weight to it. The bottom piece where you put the butter is large enough so the butter doesn't touch the sides of either the bottom or top pieces. What I don't care for is that the top piece doesn't sit down into the lower piece where the butter is. There are little "nubs" on each side (one nub on one side and two on the other side) that hold up the top piece slightly and at least with the one that I got, it only seems to fit correctly one way. So I am constantly having to turn the top piece to get it to sit correctly. I suppose I'll get used to it and I do like the way it looks.

Looks good with any dishes

My father is the person who has everything. He literally said out loud the other day “I have a new computer, a cool red car (he’s 90) but, I want to buy something.”I no longer make surprise purchases as he tells you his true feelings in front of a crowd. Then, the room becomes silent.He asked me for a new butter dish. I purchased three and let him pick. He was absolutely betwixt when it came to the two I had purchased from Amazon. This one was the one butter dish he chose. He even texted me later to tell me how beautiful it looked with butter in it. So, this is your dish folks

I am keeping the the butter dish, but I just wanted to pass along that what I received is not like the picture.

The glass quality is very low and the cast lines are visible. The top does not fit the bottom and looks like two different parts are put together. The gap will cause air circulation and the butter will change colour!Do not recommend this product and is a return for us.

We use it for butter. My favourite part of it is how dainty it is! As it’s glass, it is fragile but worth the look. I find you have to line up the lid with the base perfectly or the lid will remain crocked

It was not cheap but worth it. It adds elegance to the table and kitchen. The handle to lift the top makes sense and is also good-looking. By mistake I bought two but kept the second, to be a present someday. It just looks that nice

I was looking for a plain glass dish but because of price I selected this one ..it works well so far, easy to get butter from and looks elegant
