Q: In my area, digital channels share the same number like 30-1, 30-2 up to 30-5. How to setup that with this device? How dif analog vs digital works?

The digital channels 30-1, 30-2, 30-3 and above are technically on the same broadcast channel. In the antenna world, the broadcast channel is not necessarily the same as the number that shows up on your TV.In Detroit, where we are 4.1 is NBC and the sub-channels 4.2 and 4.3 come along with it. However it is broadcast on a channel VHF 7 in our area. You can use websites like antennapoint.com to find out the broadcast channel, which is often referred to as an RF channel or REAL channel. This device was designed after the digital transition, and is fully capable of finding and fine tuning.

Q: Will it work in a home HD antenna in the attic? My works good, not great , I like to boost the signal & view the signal strength.

My Winegaurd RFl-342 works real good on boost signal and signal strength. I have a rotor antenna and you can see the different signal strength as you rotate the antenna for best reception and location of Tv repeaters. You will have to have a 12 volt system to power it. I use a 12 volt converter to power it.

Q: Does this eliminate the need for digital box?

No, if your TV is not digital you will still need the converter.

Any nine to twelve volt DC power supply will power this. You can buy a 9v power block pretty cheap and cut the end off to connect it to the positive and negative terminals. be sure you do not reverse the polarity of your connection. This one can be used for other items also and the voltage is seletable.
