If you gave ever been to Tunisia and love the Homemade Harissa this is most likely it. Homemade does have slight smokey fkavor. The cans have nothing on this. If you are use to Moroccan style this is thicker and has more flavor. Cover with olive oil after opening to keep it fresher longer.

Update:I'm updating my review because the company contacted me this morning. The man was apologetic and said they would replace the broken bottle. I also just got a notification that they have refunded me.Also the harissa is very yummy (non broken bottle) not very spicy but it tastes like Tunisia 😁❤❤Original post:Can broken and moldy.Here is the thing it was probably sitting on that shelf moldy for months. You could hear the broken glass in the box. Someone probably dropped it months ago and heard it break and didn't care... then a few days ago someone took it off the shelf, heard the broken glass and sent it to me....Not happy! 😑😑😑

Was looking for an authentic harissa made in Tunisia or Morocco. I'm really impressed with this brand. Unlike some other reviewers, I did not find the harissa overly smoky. I thought it was perfectly balanced.

This is an incredible Harissa! Highly recommend! Very tasteful. Enjoy it with multiple food.

I had a brand of Harissa I liked, but sadly it is no longer available. Decided to give this a try. It is hot and has a very, very strong smoke flavor, but no other flavorings that I can detect. It might be good as a meat marinade to give a char-broiled flavor, or to give a smoky flavor to other dishes, but It was not really what I was looking for. It is OK in dishes to which I add cumin and lemon and other seasonings so I will probably finish the open jar, but won't order again.

Glad to be able to at least find some harrissa to buy, and this one just happens to be great.
