Dive into Garth Ennis' game-changing Hellblazer stories, featuring chain-smoking sorcerer John Constantine battling supernatural horrors and a grisly serial killer. Review: Fantastic nostalgia trip - I was there the first time around. I still have all of the comics, bagged and boxed away, I've even got some of the trades that came out, but when I saw this and thought back to my youth, reading these comics along with a bunch of other Vertigo stuff, I just couldn't pass it up. It doesn't disappoint, I'm not going to rave on about the stories, if your buying this, you already know Garth Ennis's work, and this is some of his finest. As for the book itself, It's a big lump of a book, but excellent quality throughout The binding is of great quality and the overall presentation makes this a fantastic addition to any collection. One thing of note, on a book this size, and the price we pay for them, the packaging should be a little bit more robust. The book itself, is shrink-wrapped, however, between the book and the inner wall of the box, there was only one piece of crumpled packaging paper. The Box itself is nothing to write home about, fortunately for me, my driver was great, and there was no damage, but my heart is in my mouth everytime I order one of these omnibus editions, so please desertcart, a little bit more care with books please? Review: Initial thoughts..... - This is a holding review .... Content which I'm sure most of us are familiar with is fantastic.... Some of the finest Hellblazer stories ever. Ennis at his best. And many a Pogues reference to be found. The pics show the binding while still wrapped... I'll be taking a good look at this later and will post my thoughts... Initial look is again not Marvel quality binding from DC.... It's a big big book so when next I update I will address how it holds together, opens, gutter loss etc. I am surprised it is here at all though given all that's going on but u assume it was printed and ready to go... Fortunately I pre ordered when it was announced.

Really Enjoyed the stories . Artworks are really eye soothing. No dbout this is a great compilation or ombibus from DC. It really takes you to the world of Magic. Hellblazer is always my top most pick. So this types of classic Constantine sotries are really intriguing and interesting to me.

While the stories involving the supernatural are good it's those that are in the personal life that really makes it worthwhile.

The pinnacle of comic books

A massive omnibus that closes the chapter on the need for endless super-hero comics. There was something in the water during the DC transition to Vertigo. While I was aware of Garth Ennis's brilliance on Preacher and Hit-man, the Hellblazer run seemed inaccessible due to the numbering scheme. This is the definitive run for one of the best characters ever created. How does an atheist write the best stories about creationism and damnation? How does a British author write the best mature American stories? Hellblazer omni is the crown jewel for any collection.
