BEST jeans I have ever had!
My 3rd pair of NYDJ jeans and each pair I love more than the previous. The material is soft but wears well, the length is perfect for my 5'10" height. Something I have struggled with so much with every other brand.I cant wait to buy more!

Very comfortable but are long
I found these jeans to be very comfortable. I bought one pair of blue jeans and a black pair. I found them to be just a tad on the bigger size but that was fine with me. They are very long especially if you are bare foot and possibly with sandals. I am 5'6" tall. I would always wear them with tennis shoes and when I have them on they are fine. Some people may need them to be hemmed though.

Longer than Regular Length; Order a Size Down
I really like these pants. They look nice and are very comfortable to wear. I originally ordered my regular size and a size smaller. I sent the larger pants back because they were too large at the waist. I am a "regular" in length, but I had to hem the pants about an inch because they were too long to wear with flats or athletic shoes. Since I don't mind hemming things, I would order another pair of these pants (though I did take away a star because they are longer than I expected from a regular length jean). I find the pricing structure rather bizarre. For example, a size 14 in black is $58, a size $16 is $109, and a size 18 is $74.

My Favorite Jeans
I am apple-shaped and the Barbara boot cut by NYDJ is consistently the most flattering denim I own while being super comfortable. They do stretch out during the day and run large, so buy a size down from your normal size in a brand like Levis. The material wears well after many washings so I consider the price to be worthwhile... Especially if I can find them on sale.

Fits fine, Smells horrendous!!
The fit is fine with these, they would have gotten 5 stars, but the stench of the either the ink or where they were made is so bad they are hard to wear. I smell it walking around in them. I recognize the odor, having been to India and Bangladesh, it's the smell of the outdoor market areas where there are mixtures of food, diesel, animal ding, and trash. Frankly, it smells like a stale #2 odor. It's gross. I've washed them 4 times to try to get it out, 3 times consequtively, I've used tide powder, oxy clean, and the best thing yet was nature's miracle pet odor removal for urine. That masked the smell but I might have to do it again. I'm not sensitive to odor from clothing or fabrics either (and I own pets and have toddler kids with their own smells), but this is the first thing I've owned where honestly it literally stinks to wear it.

Knock offs...
After reading reviews asking if these might be knock-off or NYDJ remainders, I decided to do a little experiment. I bought three pairs of NYDJ through Amazon (three different vendors) and then bought the same style (and color) from the NYDJ site.Amazon's purchase: The jeans bought through Amazon's vendor had MUCH thinner material. ALL three pairs bought from Amazon began to thin in the thighs after two weeks, after a month there were holes forming.NYDJ Site purchase: These jeans are still looking fairly good. They are not wearing as well as the original NYDJ I have from some years ago... but are holding up better than the amazon vendor's.Now for the purpose of those who will say 'well you wore them to often without washing' - I only wear my jeans one day then they go into the laundry. Why only one day? Because I spend a great deal of time outside and DC humidity is just awful. Most days I'm weeding the garden or just chasing dogs around my yard, so I am not over stressing the material with my work.Did I buy them to small? No, they are actually a little loose. I don't like feeling like a sausage roll and prefer my jeans to allow me to breath.Do I wash them in hot? No, my jeans are washed in warm (not hot) water using a small amount of Meyer's laundry detergent & softener then dried on low. So these jeans were worn four times before they were starting to fall apart.

So Comfortable and Flattering
I am so impressed with NYDJ. I finally took my mom's advice and ordered a pair. These are, by far, the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn. The waist came up to my natural wait (which is higher) and I love that. I really dislike low slung jeans. The tummy panels are stitched so that you have some stretch but it also helps shape you better. I didn't even have to hem them! (I'm 5' 8") The boot cut flare is very flattering. I never thought I would say that a $100+ pair of jeans is well worth the cost...but these are!

Excellent jeans. Fit as advertised.
This is about my 20th pair of these over the years. I can count on the quality, the color, the size to be the same every time. I love them!
