Halfway Through! Kids LOVE IT!
I bought this to read aloud to my boys at bedtime and so far they are loving it! My boys are 6 & 7 and they loved reading through the chapters where Tom and Sarah escaped from Weatherly! My 7 year old actually begs me to read aloud to them. I can’t wait to buy the other two once we finish this one! Highly recommend as a read aloud! Full of adventure and daring escapes.

Britfield is my new Fav
Learned about this series from an author interview on Badlands Media on Rumble. Enjoyed getting to know Stewart through Ashe in America’s interview and his interaction with the live chat.Immediately got the first book in the series and could barely put it down! Great characters who seem real and interesting as they go on their adventure. The story is quite believable, is very entertaining, easy to read, and filled with details about history and geography put forth in a super fun way.A must read for those with an adventurous spirit… On to Book Two!

And so it begins...
After catching an interview on Badlands Media with Ashe and Paul interviewing the author, Chad Stewart, I was intrigued and bought the first book. I am way way past being a young adult but I loved the adventure and I love the excellent writing!! Well done, Mr Stewart. I read it on my kindle but also bought a hard copy to give as a gift to my great niece. Now...onto book 2...

A wild ride through England!
The first novel of a promising series, Britfield and the Lost Crown is a fun novel to read! Tom and his best friend Sarah flee the orphanage, where they have been trapped and abused for the past several years. While trying to find the truth about Tom's parents, they get caught up in a dangerous conspiracy that could cost them their lives!Although the book starts out a bit slow, it doesn't take too long to get caught up in the action. The characters are entertaining, the plot is thrilling, and the writing style is spot on. The novel - and presumably, the rest of the series - is aimed at younger readers, and has some elements that can lead to curiosity about England and the various sites that can be seen there. So think of it as an action novel with a slight touch of a travel guide mixed in.I look forward to the next books in the series, and will recommend it to younger readers who are looking for a fun adventure series!

Britfield & the Lost Crown
Wow, what a page-turner! I got in trouble a few times for reading too long when I should have been working. Love the characters & all the miracles they had to escape over and over. The helpful people they met were really great! Can hardly wait for the movie to show my husband.

Great read, suspenseful and educational.
Used it for personal use but enjoyed the story so much, have recommended to many people. It’s uplifting and moves quickly. So refreshing there is other things to read besides the depressing “dystopia” junk that has been available and pushed on kids.

Great Children's Story
Sort of a modern-day Dickens melded with Indiana Jones... I think any adventure-loving child would love this.

Highly recommended
I saw many good reviews for this book and was considering it as a gift for my grandson. I was disappointed to read one review stating that it was filled with foul language. I purchased the e-book to read myself to determine whether it was suitable. There was not one foul word throughout! It is engaging, exciting, and perfect for a pre-teen. I will be purchasing a hard copy as a gift.

Gripping adventure
This is a gripping page turner of an adventure from start to finish. A most excellent read.I have read this book and book 2 from cover to cover, so captivated i found myself losing all track of time and reading into the night.I'm now reading this to my 10 year old son, who is loving the adventure and doesn't want to stop; keen to find out what happens to Tom and Sarah next.MY only criticism of the writing within this book comes from being British, and the book being written by an American. There are words used within the book that are very clearly US. We Brits do not use the expression "block" when referring to towns and how far to walk. We don't use the words: cell, sidewalk, "pants" for trousers, "foot on the gas" when referring to the accelerator peddle of a car, "purse" for handbag, "wallet" for purse (female), and other words. With this in mind this book is clearly intended for an American reading audience even though it is set in England. When selling to the English market, for English children words should be appropriately changed to align with their culture and understanding.I would have expected a good Editor and publisher to have picked up on this.Don't let the small scattering of language anomalies stop you from buying this book for your children. They will learn so much whilst reading.
