Certified Hyperbaric Technologist Exam Secrets Study Guide: CHT Test Review for the Certified Hyperbaric Technologist Exam

Good Resource Material
I was looking for a book that would give me extra information about Hyperbaric Medicine and I stumbled onto this while searching on Amazon. I took the class from ATMO International but felt I needed more practice before I take the CTRN exam. So far, I find the content to be clear and easy to understand. I think this book is a great resource, especially when someone is being introduced into a whole different field of medicine.

CHT Exam Secrets Revealed!
This exam guide will be an invaluable tool for my exam preparation. I used your guide to test for NREMT Paramedic a few years ago, and it was very helpful. I am sure that this guide will be just as much of an asset.

One of the Most Up To Date Guides for HBO2
We get exit interviews on test prep results at preptorial dot org (an Amazon SMILE member), and this text consistently comes up 5 stars. So, this review is not our evaluation, it is the feedback of hundreds of test takers that used it and passed the CHT exam the first time. In addition, we had several of our long experienced HBO2 techs take it and all gave it rave reviews. The latest "hot topic" in CHT is risk management, and there are new exam questions on the test in that area right now. The bad news is that many techs have a hard time with this aspect, the good news, (without giving away too many secrets since we write these questions too) is that the majority of questions at this writing are strawmen that you're not graded on yet. These are not just about avoiding fuel of any kind in your sessions, and saying no to be safe, but also about the C6 H12 O6/ O2 combination and the risk matrices of glucose/ oxygen with diabetics, for example. Given that the actuarial exams are some of the toughest on the planet, risk questions can be hairy. Luckily, the questions covered here and in the newest exams are still four function math, no calculus, so you can basically err on the safe side by weighting the risk factors correctly (technique: weighted summation, basically take the four or five factors, multiply each by its weight, then divide the total). The weights come from linear regressions, but you won't need to derive those, just know their ranges,.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, current, well written, one of the best there is.

Ok. Lots of information that may be useful!
I liked the more detailed information. This should be used to learn about the job with on the job training. I didn't like the typos and some small misinformation. I'm supposed to trust this book and typos like 17.7 psi being equivalent to one atmosphere (atm) doesn't build confidence.
