NOVA DEVELOPMENT ART EXPLOSION 500,000 PC

I thought this was a very good product. It works on windows 10. The search bar is fairly good certainly a 8/10 at least for searching clip art. I can't say much about all the other images, I use this product simply for the clip art. People keep saying that this product doesn't install correctly. It may be that this young culture can't wait 2 hours for something to install anymore. Anyways, I never write reviews, I'm terrible at writing. But I felt compelled to since all the reviews were largely negative which I don't understand. I wasn't expecting much when I bought this but it completely blew my expectations away. It works really well for my projects. I have already used hundreds of images for my personal project. I will say that if this doesn't fit your project, the clip art will at the very least give you a good idea or good inspiration for how you might go about drawing a better picture. Someone said that these pictures look like their from the 70s and 80s. I don't know what to tell you. A picture is a picture. I don't really understand that comment. I use a lot of graphics, but usually there are two major problems with those available on the Internet: either you spend hours on Google looking for some legal graphics, or you have to use subscription services that are ridiculously priced. By accident I happened to stumble upon Art Explosion 500,000, studied the so-called "promises" and looked at a huge range of reviews - not restricted to Amazon. I also studied the terms and conditions in depth, and though I'm not a legal expert it was clear enough that the content may be used in any print form - even on the Internet - as long as you don't try to illegally distribute or sell parts of the contents as your own. I got my product in the mail today, and eagerly I started installing. Although I had no problems with the installation, I did, however, notice that the installation of the browser took a really long time. That worried me a bit, but after an hour or so it was completely installed. My biggest disappointment lies in the fact that at this age of technology, I suddenly have to jump back nearly 20 years ago when it comes to using the browser: content is easy to find, but you still have to swap discs like a lunatic, as the content doesn't install on your hard drive. My problem here is the fact that often I'm using my computer while not at home. This means one thing: I can only use it at home, and nowhere else. The quality of the pictures ranges from outdated, but still useful, to fairly impressive. At least I cannot complain about it, seeing that I paid for the product less than what I did for regular shipping. Overall I think I'm a happy chappy with the product, and I can recommend it without any reservation if the outdated interface isn't going to bother you too much.

The art is fantastic. Finding what I want is a challenge. Now appears to be sorted by type of art (picture, sketch, cartoon) rather than subject of the art. Needs a subject sort capability. The search feature might be useful if you hit on the correct terms.

Well, I purchased this after purchasing an older version that didn't work with Windows 8 and returning it. The installation disk on this will let me register the product, I can read the disk, but when I go to install, I get the message, "Error 1305.Error reading from file D:\ArtExplosion500K/Art Explosion Image Browser.msi. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it." This sounds to me like there is a bad file on the disk. There IS NO PHONE NUMBER for tech support, and an internet search doesn't find one either. I emailed tech support and they have promised to get back to me within two business days. That means they have about six hours left. There doesn't seem to be a place on their website to download patches or get fixes to common problems like this. It seems that with a serial number you should be able to download the program file that will read the clip art. Most likely, I'll be returning this. Any suggestions for ClipArt programs that really work? I used to have Photo Clip Art by Hemera and loved it. I've used it for 10 years, and on several computers, but it doesn't seem to work well on Windows 8. Update: I received an email from Nova telling me to try 1. cleaning the disk (duh), 2. moving all the files from the install disk into a folder on my desktop and installing from there. I can copy everything but the .bin folders - when I try to copy those, the disk ejects. Installation failed. I sent a return email to Nova. I figure I will give them another two business days to respond. That's tomorrow afternoon. Update: Two business days came and went. Another reviewer mentioned spam emails - no joke, several every day selling stuff, but no email from tech support. Because of lousy tech support, no phone number, and new-in-box defective product, I reduced my rating to one-star. I never did see the product.

Nova Development US Art Explosion 500,000 This is a decent product and the images are nice and with 500,000 selections one will have no problem finding something that suits you. I decided to create a special folder known as EXPLOSION CLIP ART to which I copy and paste images that I thing I will have a need for in the future or a repeaded need for. You can save them in several file types such as BITMAP. JPEG, tiff, et al. It is a good and fair price--enjoy yourself works well with windows 7--no installion problems and without poor interaction with other programs. It works flawlessly with all Microsoft programs such as word and publisher and Outlook 2010--I am sure one will have no issues with most other programs using images.

Prior to purchasing, I read some of the reviews. Some folks had difficulties with it working with a newer operating system. I am running Windows 11. It installed easily. I was able to open the icon. Have yet to use it (insert graphics into a Word doc), so my opinion may change. Starting with disc 1 (the installer disc). I inserted into external CD Rom drive. Had to navigate to the device (it didn't autoplay), select the correct setup icon (setup application not the CD icon) Followed prompts, answered yes when asked, agreed to the legal ez, continued following the prompts, and waited.... and waited, took a few minutes (like 5) to completely install. Didn't have to touch the other three discs.

I have purchased Nova's products in the past, and what I like about their collections is that they give unrestricted access directly to the images without the need to install any proprietary software. This collection comes on four disks. Disk one contains image browser software. The other three disks contain over fifteen gigabytes of artwork organized in the following folders: Classic Images Web Graphics Scrapbook Art Fonts Vector Clip Art Raster Clip Art Photos High-Res Photos Backgrounds & Textures There is a rich sub-folder structure that helps locating needed files. And there are a lot of files in following formats: WMF, EMF, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, and GIF. There are also 756 TTF font files organized by name. The quality of images ranges from silly to most excellent, but the sheer volume of this collection make it an outstanding set definitely worth having.

Great product for the price. Have used the graphics many times since purchase. I'm not certain what everyone's been complaining about with the comments of no "index or ease in use." You download the main disc and then search for item you want graphics of. Up pops a selection, you can preview the selection, then insert the corresponding disc the graphic is located on. Easy to use--follow directions. The main program is like a search engine and the supporting discs contain your graphics. I like it!
