Thick, high quality, durable!
Not sure what “sheerness” means but gave these a full 5 stars since my hubby LOVES them for his saltwater tank. They are very thick and a little stiff, meaning very high quality. They hold up well in the washer with a small amount of bleach. Can wash them over and over before they start wearing out like other sock filters we’ve used.

will not fit redsea sump without modifying
Like the socks, but they will not fit the red sea sump trays without cutting the top ring off so that you can slide the tray in with the top tank remaining in place!!

Absolutely horrible! You might as well put a plastic bag in your sock holders!
