Oakley OO9014 Gascan Rectangular Sunglasses for Men

I purchased these glasses as a replacement to the Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ that I used daily for almost two years. I've always had the "minimalist" approach to sun glasses and my transition from the wire frame style to the molded Flak Jacket XLJ was a serious jump. I was quite please with the fit. However, after my Bulldog puppy decided to make a late night snack out of them, I was forced to look for a new pair of sunglasses. When I stumbled upon the GasCan series, I was hesitant. They looked great. But how would the fit? It was a gamble but one that I was willing to make to have a great looking pair of sunglasses. I purchased them and within two days, they were at my doorstep. Upon removing them from their box, I was impressed by the sleek matte black appearance and black polarized lenses. I immediately slipped them onto my face and behold, an even more comfortable pair of sunglasses than the previous Flak Jacket XLJ. The fit was smooth and adhered to my face well. The only downfall that I could find is that the matte finish can be a bit slippery. The only trouble this seems to cause is a lack of resistance when positioned on top of my head while in doors. If I were to bend forward, I could see them potentially slipping off. Otherwise, this pair of sunglasses gets a 5 star rating from me. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants a good looking accessory without breaking the bank for a designer pair of sunglasses.

Years ago I had a pair of Raybans that I loved. Since then, I've only bought cheap sunglasses because I lose them so frequently. I finally decided to go for another pair of expensive glasses. It was completely worth the money. I read these sunglasses were tight and squeeky. I haven't had either problem. I have a huge head and can never get a hat that is big enough; these sunglasses are snug, but comfortable. The polarized lenses are great and worth the extra money. The best part for me is that driving to and from work every day, the sun is on the left, blinding me for the most of the trip as the road weaves and curves. The wide temples completely block the sun so that I am not holding up my hand for the entire trip, nor swinging the visor back and forth as the road curves. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. Plus I saved money over buying from Oakley directly! Woo hoo.

These are one of the only glasses that properly fit my face. Most glasses leave a gap at the temple area just lateral to my eyes where my face starts to curve back but the glasses keep going out. This looks bad and makes the glasses look oversized. The GasCans are closer to my face, eliminating gaps while looking and feeling good on my face. I like the matte finish on these, I also had a pair of glossy black finish which was great as well, but I prefer the matte look. Replaceable lenses are very nice, I use these as shooting safety glasses as well so I often have clear lenses in them. The lenses are fairly easy to change, you just pop them out of the front of the frame while pulling the edges apart. Don't worry, the lenses wont break. Check out all the different lenses available on amazon. My first lenses got scratched while I was at the beach. This was still pretty disappointing because the polarized lenses are very expensive, but its a better option then paying for a whole new pair. Also gives you the option of wearing cheaper lenses if you're going to the beach and don't want the sand scratching your lens. All in all, these are some of the only glasses that fit me properly so 5/5: + great fit + matte black look + polarized lenses + replaceable lenses and if I had to be picky, I'd say the "arms" or temples as they are called, are a bit too thick and I'd prefer a thinner line at the ears

I'm honestly too cheap to buy for myself, so my wife bought them for my birthday. I tried them on in store and we both felt they looked fantastic, but when I saw price I walked. She remembered and received them yesterday. They fit VERY comfortably. I have a 7 5/8 inch head, so ya, big head guys have a friend in these! The Gascan and the FuelCell models are the same, except the Gascan has a thinner bridge (16mm). I have thinner nose, so that is perfect. If your nose is wider, the bridge on the FuelCell model is 21mm, so you may feel less pressure wearing long hours with the wider bridge of FuelCell. I'm not even sure what polarized means, but these are, and I know they look OUTSTANDING on...I'm NOT a sunglass guy. I feel spoiled, but these are really a pair that I'm so happy I received as a present. Great quality. Total Oakley, not knockoffs. Delivery by Amazon is like...well, Amazon delivery...say no more (outstanding!). If you think these will look amazing on....you're right. Just be honest with width of nose to determine which would be better. Its so obvious I will not have to push these up bridge of my nose from sliding down looking down, because I got the thinner bridge of the Gascan, but they do NOT apply any pressure to nose that is fatiguing if worn all day.

These glasses are great for the money. My profession is in optic so I care a lot about optics quality and these lenses were surprisingly nice (particularly for the price). They also stay on my head nicely even when doing light activities like running and playing softball. Not sure why a lot of other reviewers complained about these not being great for activities. Only complaint is that they aren't extremely stylish and slightly have that "glasses for the blind" look. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and would buy again.

Not only are these my favorite Oakley sunglasses, but probably my favorite pair of sunglasses, period. The frames are light, the lenses are shaded just right, not too dark or too light. The amount of tint and polarization is important to me, as I have light hazel eyes, and the sun has always been an issue for me. I've been wearing polarized sunglasses for 40 years, as I can hardly open my eyes when the sun is out. Since I'm in Southern California, that's just about everyday. The shape fits me perfectly. A lot of sunglasses with thick frames are not comfortable for me, as they do not flex at all. The GasCan model is very comfortable for me, and I can wear them all day without the sides of my head being sore from where the temple tips usually dig in behind the ears. So, for that matter, the temple length is just right as well. For what it's worth, I wear a 7 3/8 - 7 1/2, or L/XL fitted baseball cap. I hope these sunglasses last me a long time.

These glasses are fantastic. High quality lenses and frames. I was impressed with the durability. These are the first pair of glasses I have ever bought polarized, and I've gotta say it is definitely worth it. Pros: Fast ship time Durable, high quality frame and lenses You get what you pay for, as advertised Oakley Branding just feels awesome on your glasses Cons: Ive noticed they slip down my nose a little bit sometimes, but it may just be I have a weird shaped head haha When folded they are not as compact as say ray bans or something. Overall, great product. If I can again afford to buy them I will.

I've very satistafed with this product. Stylish & Affordable if you purchase on amazon - half the price in an expenive mall store. Pros: -Very good in the direct sunlight. The Iridium Polarized lenses are just great. They shade differently than other sunglass to be warned but not in a bad way, but a good way -Lightweight -Easy to clean Cons: -They can "creak" at the hinges until they are broken in. They are not deffective its just the way the hing is shaped. I've owned 3 pairs, 2 of them did creak, 1 did. But it only lasted about a month till the hinge was broken in.

Ho comprato questo paio di oakley perché li ho trovati ad un prezzo imbattibile: meno di 78€ con lente polarizzata, roba che solo le lenti costano di più!comunque sia sono un paio di occhiali ottimo, sono leggeri, robusti e fasciano il volto in modo di non cascare mai...infatti io li ho presi per lavorare in barca e andare a correre e devo dire che mi hanno positivamente sorpreso, come tutti gli oakley acquistati fino ad ora, lenti superiori e qualità visiva ottima, con il polarizzato poi sono adatti a situazioni come mare e spiaggia dove vi è un forte riverbero

Muy buenos y comodos, el polarizado es excelente, nada mas k la vision hacia los lados no es muy buena, tienes k girar mas la cabeza para ver a los costados, pero en general son muy buenos para el sol. :-)

Frame: The gascan is awsome and met my expectation. Glasses: Black Iridium Polarized did not met my expectation. Before purchasing I thought it would be considerable dark as it is the darkest glass of Oakley but this is not the case and have pretty normal darkness. It is said that oakley have glasses for everyone and for every purpose I don't think this is true.

got these on Prime day, saved a little bit which you do not normally see any sales on Oakleys. Very happy with these.
