I have another similar incense boat style holder, but upon purchasing a second one from the same name, I noticed their craftsmanship declined. The holes were horribly drilled...either too small, not even on each side or drilled right thru the wood. And it no longer came with the four cushions on the bottom to keep it from scratching your furniture or keeping it in place. Searched and saw this particular one and immediately upon receiving it, I knew it was perfectly made. The holes have the perfect size for the average 11" incense stick and are drilled where they're supposed to be. Beautiful natural wood and has the four cushions on the bottom. And most importantly, it catches all the ashes.

This stick incense holder is simple and perfect. It is well crafted and smoothly finished. I am so pleased with it. What makes it even more special is that the seller included two sticks to initiate its use in my altar. Lovely product from a lovely seller.

First impression after opening the box is how much more beautiful this is in person. It's lovely looking and sturdy. It would make a good gift, especially if they had a gift option version that came in a better looking outer box. It's a minor detail that i believe could get them several more dollars per piece given that as an option. Anyway, once you open the plain box (which was a bit beaten up), it's wrapped in a pretty paper, which makes it feel just a bit more special. They also included a wonderful smelling inscece stick. I wish I knew what kind it is. I'd be interested in buying some. I thought that inclusion was a nice touch. I haven't tried any other sticks so i can't really give much feedback yet on hole size and how the different brands will fit. It takes up more space than a standard inscence burner but it's worth the extra space. That's not only because I can burn mess free, but also because it is so much more beautiful. I love it and I think anyone else in the market for one will really nenjoy this too.My burner came with a small blemish near one of the holes which could have been easily fixed by the maker. A smidge more attention to detail and it would have looked perfect. It's a minor detail and likely won't impact the use, however, again I really think this minor detail being caught before shipping would make this soar even higher bove their competitors.There are little pads on the bottom. I think they are felt or something. What a great idea! They protect the burner and what you put it on.Now, for the best part, for the first time in my 25 years of burning inscense I did not have any ashes any where but in the burner!!! No more wiping ashes off of my dresser, or the back of the toilet, coffee table, etc thank b you for one less chore.I plan to replace my other 2 burners with this. The price for what you get compared to what else is out there is extremely reasonable. I think I only paid $1 or $2 for the ones I will be replacing with this I still feel like I got bargain.

I've had this thing for a day and it's already the best incense holder I've ever owned.1. This isn't one of those crappy incense holders you buy at a headshop or at Earthbound. This thing is one solid piece of sturdy wood. Emphasis on the sturdy. It just feels good.2. This thing is wide. One of my biggest gripes with incense holders is that depending on the hole size, the stick will lean more left or right making the ash fall outside of the holder. This thing is wide enough that that doesn't happen.3. This is the big one. The holes for placing the incense are just right meaning the incense sticks stay securely up. My biggest issue with other incense holders, I'm looking at you coffin style incense holders with stars and moons and elephant designs on them, is that the holes are too big so the sticks fall to the bottom and burn out. Only solution before was to break a piece of the stick and cram both in the hole so this wouldn't happen. Don't have to worry about that with this one.For the price, get this one. Can't beat it.

I saw a friend that had one of these that was painted. This one was much simpler, just stained wood. It works and it looks very dignified and natural. I recommend it!p.s. I think I put a coat of boiled linseed oil or tung oil... on mine. It was already sealed well though and didn't need it. The ashes wash right off of it if you put it under the faucet.

What a great purchase! Very well made - and looks fantastic, at a great price. Larger than I was expecting. Been using mine for a month or so now - it catches all of the ash and keeps things tidy. Nicely finished solid wood, rubber feet on the bottom - the workmanship at this price point really is fantastic. Thinking of buying another - highly recommended!!!

The quality is beautiful, the wood has a beautiful grain on the one that I have and the colour is deep and rich. The tray easily catches ashes without any mess and is easy to clean. Because of other reviews I was prepared to have to drill larger holes for the incense sticks to fit, but it was unnecessary. Both holes are large enough for regular size incense. My photo shows one incense stick burning, but two fit easily. I am able to burn one or two at the same time if I choose. It could easily be used as a key tray or for personal items like jewellery. I like to keep crystals in the tray while I burn incense. It would make a lovely gift to someone who enjoys incense.

I like the natural look of this and the size. And it holds two at once which is nice. I definitely recommend. Easy to clean.Bought multiple for different rooms and would buy again or include as part of a gift.
