Update:The company has replaced all items that had issues. I am now pleased with the product.Original post:At this point, I am extremely displeased with the product. The wood was broken when it arrived, and the joints don't line up, so even if I got sound wood, I wouldn't be able to put it together. It was missing some hardware, so even if I had been able to put it together, I would not have been able to finish it. It was missing the key, so I can not test the auto flow frames to see if they are functioning. I have emailed them, amd now I will wait to see if the company makes it right. If they do, I will change my rating.

the product arrived in about 2 weeks which was good, If your not a wood worker the dovetail joints are a little difficult to figure out but once you put it together its not coming apart and you don't need nails or tacks, appears to be a well built product, shipping material was poor but what do you expect it saved you about $400 and it came from over seas. I don't know if the Flow actually works but if it does I would buy another one from same supplier, Flow Hive needs t drastically consider lowering there prices.

I just received my auto flow a few days ago and it's fully assembled and it looks great. The only thing that needed to be done is one of the see through glass covers needed to be shaved down alittle because it was a tight fit. But overall I'm really happy with it. All of the parts were included as well. Now come next spring I hope it works as well as they say.

Albeit a good buy, with the wood looking good but coated with something (no instructions re painting, staining, et alia). As to instruction, there are NONE. You must figure out how to assemble the dovetail fittings which is fairly easy to do, BUT there is no mention of the extra 11 wood screws. I will drill a lead hole for 2 screws in each corner and hope for the best. I am very mechanically inclined but the average person would be at a loss. I assume the oily waxy feeling is either wax or motor oil, but have no way of determining IF it can be painted - Again no instructions. I would NOT buy again, even at the savings. Instead, I would just order from Flow Company since the hive I got from them is far superior.

Well designed. One of my first beehives. Joints were tight but with a rubber hammer they went together fine with a nice tight fit. Shouldn't have to worry about the joints getting loose. Required some sanding on the window covers because they fit too tight. Shipping took a long time but was expected. All in all I would buy it again when and if I expand my hives. A note for the manufacturer should be to not coat this thing with whatever waxy coating is on it. Coating it in the waxy substance has kept me from being able to stain and seal it. I doubt a coat of paint would even stick to it.

The honey comb structures really give a sense of secure satisfaction when the snapping actions to drain the honey. Good stuff, happy bees, happier keepers.Side note: this was a great way for my dad and I to spend more quality time with each other. So for that reason this product is arguably invaluable in my eyes.Only hiccup: product may not 100% mirror the instructional manual that comes with the product.Thanks!

Everything is great, except that fact the brood box doesn't come with frames, nor do they mention that they're not included. Don't get duped.

If you only ever want to use these 2 boxes on this base then your golden. If you ever want to mix and match or customize a little then it might need some adjustments. I'm mostly all langs hives and the bases are not interchangeable so I can't swap multiple deep brood boxes around. I like to customize boxes and this one is soaked in wax so any wood burning or clear coat activities become very hard. It is ready to go out of the box after assembly tho. Directions are atrocious but if your wood working or construction savvy you can figure it out.
