I was gutted when I recieved this item with no cate at all considering it was an delicate item, it was dropped over the back when there was someone but the delivery person didn't bother to knock.

Very pretty glass butter dish, however it does hold 1 pond capacity of butter , you cannot close the glass lid american butter must be bigger than european butter the lid sits on the butter without closing on glass. That means you cant use four sticks of butter either. I am still going to use it. Maybe you can make a lid 1/4 of an inch deeper. Other people will have the same problem that i have had. Thank you just the same. ***
