When I first started reading, I wasn't quite sure where this book was going. It started out a little too religious for my preference until I realized what the real message was. It's basically a different interpretation of the bible into something more spiritual than organized religion. It's not at all preachy and really isn't about religion so much as it's about getting in tune with God (who ever you perceive him or her to be) and getting your life dialed into that rhythm. Once you do, the universe starts to fall in line for you and things that were once difficult and impossible become much easier to address and deal with. It's all about being on the right wavelength so that you can open the doors to letting good come into your life. You can ask God for anything. Shinn even believes we can ask God for material things like money or a better house--that God wants to give us all that we desire as long as we are on the path of God. You can't receive good by putting out bad. When you are on the right track, doors open and you will get what you ask for. It's a matter of believing, of asking, of concentrating on what you want, of inviting it into your life, and making a place for it to stay.

This is an amazing book. Having loved her book The Game of Life and How to Play It for decades since my mother gave me a copy, I was interested to read this book. Similarly to the other book, this one offers profound wisdom based on the Bible, although with a somewhat spiritualist tone that was common in her day. It is encouraging, and best of all--being based on the Bible--what she says to do actually works. Her books are easy to read, and the real-life stories of people who have had miracles occur from following her Bible-based advice are inspiring. I advise you not to lend your copies out to anyone; just buy them their own copy. Otherwise, you may not get yours back.

I have been reading this book for many years and have bought it many times over to give to people. When I first got it I read the entire book every day for three years. Worked on living by the principles and found not only great peace but success. They are so simple and clear and based on spiritual Truth that works. This is a fabulous Life changing book. The Truth....

If you read this, you won't regret it! This book is sure to help you through the journey of life with a more positive and confident outlook. To me, you cannot go wrong with this one! My eyes are now wide open to my good, thanks to the wonderful, Florence Scovel -Shinn!

I love this author! I thought I has l all her booksBut was glad to find another! Even though some of the same info. Still new stories and word treatments to add to the collection!

If you've ever felt as though things happen when you speak your thoughts out loud, or that your desires and faith have at times brought you closer to what you are seeking; then this is a book you would enjoy reading. :)

The inner meaning of Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs is on Chapter 14 and the book is worth buying for this alone. Now, I'll explain how I read this book. I'm not a religious person, and Shinn is. Therefore, I skimmed the parts which I didn't feel relevant. What Shinn does though is explain afterwards in an everyday, non-traditional way, so keep reading. I enjoyed this book. It is very much worth reading. It will make you understand your thoughts and actoons, and that of others. Worth buying. Oh, and there is also an interpretation of The Wizard of Oz worth reading in here too.

I know that there have been comments about the biblical aspects, but although not of a set religion, I didn't mind that. It is the Spirit of her words. Her book is written in a simple style which I like, no frills. I have certainly picked some of her affirmations. to make my life more positive, and hopefully others. Florence Scovel-Shinn, was she the originator of positive affirmations? I don't know, but I like her, and wouldn't have thought she'd been dead since 1940. I'm just about to order another.

I chose this book as the title was very eye catching. I was looking for a book based on connecting with your subconscious. I was thoroughly satisfied in reading this book, as there where many tips on how you should think and lots of little affirmations which can be used for different areas in your life.It has taken me about 10 days to read this book, and I can honestly say that my life has changed for the better. I am more aware about myself and how I think, and I am constantly feeding my mind positive thoughts. This is also the first author I have found where he relates the bible quiet in-depth with the subconscious mind. This made the book that more interesting.

Good read on believing what you says going to happen in your mind and making it become a reality. Uses examples of when its worked and how to build the ideas into your head to overcome any challenges you face.

This is very simple and some of it will be things you have heard before. A lot of this stuff is used in modern self help literature. However, its still totally worth reading. There is something about the straightforward narrative that just makes it work. I love the biblicalreferences too.
