Quality Product - Solid Performance
I was concerned about extending an Optical Audio cable due to potential signal loss, but this unit snapped on very tight to the factory line that came with my soundbar. I used it to extend the cable so I could run it behind the wall to my tv. There is no noticeable effect on the sound quality and the cord itself is of much better quality than the cable that came with my speakers.

Waste of time and money
Must heed Amazon reviewers. As has been said before: cable is OK but the connector broke apart the first time I used it. Therefore the cable can't be used. Waste of time and money.
