The best bowl gouge bar none
I was a bit leery about buying powder metallurgy bowl gouge with its high end price tag.I own six other bowl gouges in this size range and the crown is the best by far. I changed the grindwhen I received it. The grind was kind of a dramatic traditional the wings almost swept forward.(I like a 55 deg. finger nail grind) After the grind change game over the edge held after turning twosmall bowls it was still cutting like butter through maple and walnut. I couldn't believe the performanceWhen they say it last six time longer then regular hss they mean it.This is the best lathe tool I have and I will definitely buy more.I would highly recommend crown powder metallurgy.

Crown 242PM 1/2-Inch 13-mm Powder Metallurgy Bowl Gouge
The Crown 1/2 inch bowl gouge is a great tool. I have other Crown gouges. The one I received had several cosmetic blemishes. The ferrule was so loose it rattled. The printing on the handle was smeared and not totally legible. The plastic sleeve the tool comes in was shredded. I believe the tool was unused but it had several problems. I sent it back and received a full refund.
