I was happy to find this for my college class. I wanted a used book that was affordable, and that is exactly what I got. It was in good condition, no issues, or missing pages.

So glad I rented this book through Amazon, and on my college’s bookstore. It was cheaper, and it’s easy to return as well!

in this remarkable textbook about KEEPING a small business up, running and thriving. Here we delve into all of the topics and details necessary for success: planning, finances, accounting, legal savvy, marketing, promotion, TEAM-BUILDING and longevity. This seems like an entry text for undergrads, and a solid starting point before the heavy-hitting MBA coursework comes along, and the text won't scare them off because it is wonderfully engaging!Because I also received Launching Successful Ventures, I have sort of created my own coursework and have found that those two books would go well together, but this one in itself is spectacular!

This is a good text for an intro-level college business class. The focus is on small business, of course, not big business, so its also useful to a lot of people wanting to start their own (there's a section on start-ups). There are many useful explainers and sub-sections throughout the text. This is the 7th edition, so many errors and such have been worked out and the text is up-to-date and relevant. It's not super visually appealing, but I've seen much worse. The readability is fine. Not hyper-engaging, but not terrible.

Now in its seventh edition, Prof. Hatten's seminal text on small business management is better than EVER. Which means why are you still reading this review when your fingers should immediately be hitting that button that says Add to Cart? This edition has a better visual presentation than ever. The professor walks you everywhere from legal and finance through marketing and operations. Scandalously good... this textbook is essential.
