The steam used can be from a garment steamer (preferable) or an iron (using the steaming function). To flatten the brim, simply steam the under-brim of your hat and let it lay on a flat surface overnight or until dry. You can then also steam the top side of the brim and let it sit flat for a further period of time. To fix a dent in the crown, apply steam and use your hands to mould it into the desired shape, then let dry. The felt that the hat is made from has been treated with a stiffening agent and once this agent is reactivated by the steaming process, the hat will regain its original state and shape.

Quality not as expected...
Was so excited to receive & see this hat listed on Amazon. As I own a real one that I bought from the brand directly. Thinking these hats might be fake/faulty. The color is very off. It's more peachy/yellow than ivory. Sizing ran smaller than normal too. Also, very disappointed on how the package was shipped & delivered to me. The hat was shipped in a box that was obviously TOO small. This hat is suppose to be a flat brim hat, not a BENT brim hat. Creases & dents beyond repair on the brim & top part of hat. It didn't snap back to it's original form sadly. I was expecting better quality for this price. Obviously returning. First time I bought this brand off Amazon & probably the last.
