My butter fits perfectly! I was nervous at some of the reviews stating the "average" stick of butter not fitting. But, I took a photo with the wrapper on so there is no mistake of the size. My Mema had a similar one when I was a kid. My hubby and I bought a new home and wanted to graduate to a grown up non-plastic dish. It's perfect. Only complaint is the packaging. Probably could have used more paper wrapping. Just glad it miraculously didn't break.

I'm in love with my new butter dish. This dish has weight, is detailed fantastically. It's the quality that has you not wanting to wait to put your butter or margarine in. It's so beautiful. I saw this butter dish at my mothers house and asked her where she bought hers. I absolutely adore it. Its sturdy and pretty. Our previous one was a crappy dollar tree plastic one. This is gorgeous and works. It really just makes me happy to add a little something nice to use and look at daily.

This is a very nice butter dish. Beautiful, solid & heavy. Easy to use with the butterfly lid. However, there seems to be some confusion as to whether a standard u.s. butter stick fits. The butter stick on the east coast fits perfectly in this dish, as well as Kerry Gold Irish butter. The west coast butter stick will fit but it's a tight fit & slightly smashes the very top of the butter. It is still usable for both, just trim off a bit from the west coast butter if desired.

First of all, it's really pretty sitting on the table, but the very best thing is the butterfly handle. I've tried a lot of butter dishes and always have a problem with lids that snap on or don't have handles or have the little knobs for handles. My cranky old hands drop things if I can't get a good hold on them. If the lid snaps on, chances are I won't be able to get the lid off without slinging the butter off the tray. If it's ceramic without a handle or has just a little knob, chances are the lid will slip out of my hand and end up in little pieces on the floor. The little butterfly handle on this dish is so easy to grasp and hold onto with no fear of accidentally dropping it.

These butter dishes are very unique and beautiful. I bought two so I could have one on each side of my large dining room table as I hosted a formal dinner party. Love having the handle on the lid as I have butter fingers. (Pun intended.) Highly recommend.

Needs to be a little wider, the top fits inside the well for the butter. This makes it hard not to catch the top of the dish in the butter. Other than that it's easier to pick up the lid, unique design and appears to be stout enough for everyday use.

This is a super cool, very pretty bitter dish. It’s pretty sturdy glass also. As I was washing it for the first time it slipped out of my hands, bounced on the sink ledge and then I caught/fumbled it and it hit the floor. It did NOT break. I’m so glad because I love it.

Really a great little butter dish. I buy the box of butter with 4 sticks in it and i love this little butter dish for those. I also love butterflies, (i raise monarchs), so it was the perfect gift for me.

I really like this butter dish. Has a good weight to it. The top piece with the butterfly is a great little handle.Glad I bought it.

The handle (butterfly on top) and sides of dish make access easy and secure to the butter.

Nice but too small

This is a beautiful butter dish the only thing I don’t like about it is how small it is. I have to cut down my butter to get it to fit.
