SOG Blade knife
So far, I'm quite impressed with its small size. It is sharp and concealable. I'm still trying to get used to having it on me due to the amount of activity, training, and unknown locations.

really nice weight and balanced knife, holds tight in the sheath.
i needed a knife to begin my EDC at work and everywhere and anywhere, i wanted something small, but quality that was fixed blade, so i can get to it and have it ready to go right away with just one hand. this knife absolutely dose that better than anything else ive ever owned, this is my first fixed blade knife ive bought and i dont think ill ever buy anything else again, the sheath the metal, everything about it is perfect, i need to conceal this while wearing dress pants, a belt dress shoes and a tucked in shirt everyday to work without anyone being alarmed because they see the handle on my belt, so i clip it inside of my right side pocket with the clip rotated one click forward and its PERFECT it hides it JUST out of sight right behind the beginning of my pocket, after watching a few youtube vids on how i should carry a concealed EDC knife and spending a half hours in the mirror trying to find where i wanted to conceal it, for at work the pocket is just the best place, even thought i would have liked it on my belt sideways but it just obvi dose not sit totally flat and flush with my body because obviously its a straight knife and not bent, when im not at work though and inm going to a store it is on my belt because i care less if someone in wawa catches a little glimps of it. the grip feels just so amazing in your hand you just wanna hold it all of the time, but this is a tool for that time you might need it, not a toy to use for any excuse you can find a reason for including dumb stuff. if you carry this at work, KEEP IT CONCEALED AND OR IN YOUR POCKET dont go around showing everyone of your work buddies letting the whole world know what your working with or that your slightly prepared should the need to be ever arise, otherwise you might end up getting yourself in trouble with it, and than you might not be able to carry it there anymore and now your not prepared. after finding where i wanted to conceal it, i practiced my draw and putting it back in the sheath a good few times to get used to the motion and also to break in the sheath a little which didn't really break it in because its still really tight, which is a really good thing to me. this thing isnt going to come out by accident at all, no way no how, nicest knife i have ever owned by a long shot and the price just makes it that much better, not a single regret of purchase here.,

Full size SOG Instinct review
Posted below is my husbands review as it is his gift. Retention sheath is a tight fit. I hope over time it will lose some of the tension, but not too much. You can't just draw the knife without the sheath wanting to follow. You definitely have to use counter pressure with your thumb when separating the blade from a new sheath. I purchased it because of the ability to orient the 360 degree sheath. I was searching for a belt knife that would carry horizontally/parallel on my belt rather than vertically. There was nothing misleading about the length of the blade, however now I have it I wish I would have purchased a bit longer blade length. I am having some trouble in adapting my grip to the three finger locations on the handle. With the blade forward protruding from the thumb side of my grip I can position the knife in a stable manner. However in the reverse position with the blade exiting the base palm of my grip my pinky lies across the blade itself. If I lower the handle to fit my pinky in the first notch closest to the blade I have to move my index finger aside to apply downward thumb pressure to guarantee secure pressure. Next time I would consider purchasing a bit longer blade, and if there are grip cutouts I might opt for four instead of three finger locations. After @ a week of use the sheath has reduced the tension and I am pleased with the new draw tension. In regards to the grip I have excepted that the knife is originally designed for a forward thrust held grip (with the blade protruding forward from the thumb). With this in mind the design of the handle fits perfectly in the center of the palm of my, maybe not your, hand when it is drawn from the sheath. I don't have to do any adjustments, its right every time. When you draw the knife with your thumb creating reverse pressure on the sheath, as it draws out the operators thumb rests directly on the friction notches cut into the top of the blade. The rest falls into place. I still would reconsider on my next knife purchase if I really need finger locations on the knife handle.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I picked up the SOG Instinct Small Fixed Blade Knife to carry as a backup/boot knife, and it’s been impressively solid for the size and price. The blade steel holds an edge well for everyday cutting tasks, and the grippy handle feels secure in hand, even in wet conditions. The compact profile makes it perfect for a boot, pocket, or fixed carry without feeling bulky, and the included sheath is easy to attach and use right out of the box. What really stands out is the build quality — it feels rugged and dependable, just what you’d expect from SOG — and the blade shape balances slicing and piercing tasks nicely. If I had one gripe, it’s that the handle could be just a hint more ergonomic for prolonged use, but for a small fixed blade it’s very comfortable. Overall, this is a great little knife for everyday utility, EDC backup, camping, and outdoor use.

Good for a last back up, get what you pay for.
Not exactly something I’d ever want to rely on, but because it’s so affordable and so small, I like it as a backup on my belt when camping. Feels cheap but the grip isn’t bad for how small it is. Maybe good for a first knife for a youth. Although it feels kind of cheap, I wouldn’t say it feels dangerously so. Feels like it can accomplish its tasks if needed. 360 degree belt sheath is sweet. Fastens easily to belt, too.
