PD Showermate- Catheter Showering Support

This lanyard works great! One can shower comfortably keeping the PD catheter out of the way. Some will notice the lanyard is very long, even when adjusted. If you find it still too long for use effectively, then you'll want to open the little black flip switch (there are two) on the lanyard, remove the ribbon, and cut the ribbon shorter, and reinsert the ribbon and lock it down - to achieve the right length for you. The instructions here are also described in the Amazon site...with pics. (The instruction card that comes doesn't describe how to shorten the lanyard.) So don't give up! Don't throw it out! Bottom line, this lanyard is totally customizable and it works!

I like this Catheter holder. It works well in the shower. It clips tightly, but can pull off if you get your Catheter stuck on something. This is a good thing so you don't damage the tubing or yourself.I would like it to be a bit shorter, even if you have it as short as it goes my Catheter flops around a lot since mine is 12" long. Other than that it is nice to keep the Catheter from dangling all loose like.

My husband is the one using this and he said it is great!! He has had to use the leg cover prior and said this is MUCH better. It keeps the water out and said how terrific it is! He's super satisfied as he can't have any water get on his wound and this works great. He can now shower with no worry.

I bought this one and a different one and liked the other one better

It’s a bit long but works well to keep the PD tube secure and in a safe place. I also use it while sleeping to keep the PD tube from kinking.

My husband where’s this in the shower, but started liking it so much that he wears it all day. At night uses a belly band to protect his tubing and exit site being pulled on. He is really happy with this PD holder. We did try the other shower holder and prefer this one. I wish they made it so the end would accommodate the transfer set being hooked to the hoses for a night time dialysis.

Love, love, love my shower mate. I have two. It’s so much more convenient when compared to the belts or the thin ropes others offer. I just wish they offered other colors. Black, perhaps? Regardless, when one plays out, I’ll order another, and I’ve highly recommended them to fellow dialysis patients.
