Solid fun truck that is great for kids!
We got this RC truck for our 10yo son for xmas, and he and his 6yo brother learned to drive it and have a lot of fun with it right away. Running in the low speed mode, the battery last a while, but I would recommend getting 2 or 3 spares so that they can keep going if they really want to. It handles rough terrain quite well, and can bop of flip down stairs and is still quite resilient. We had it tearing around ice and melting snow in the yard, and even though it got pretty damp, it never really stopped working except when it went fully into a stream. We removed the battery and let it dry out and it worked fine again. The cotter pins that hold the cover onto the body are quite small, and we had lost 3 out of 4 of them in the first day. It comes with spares, and you can make your own with a paperclip very easily, so it's not a big deal. It isn't easy to turn the car on when the cover is installed, which is a little annoying, but worth the hassle since the switch remains protected.Worth every penny for a car that runs for such a long time, can rip across rough terrain and is easy enough to use that smaller kids (we had a 4yo driving it well) can have a ton of fun.Not for indoor use! This thing is fast and powerful.

High quality and great fun!
This truck is super fast. So much so that you have to be careful because it can sometimes go faster than your reflexes.Although it is really fast, I mostly wanted it because of its off-road ability. I can make it climb over big rocks and crawl up things that you wouldn't guess it could climb. The only limitation on climbing is that you if you climb too fast a too steep of an angle, it can flip backwards. That's just physics.I've also done a few jumps with a ramp that make use of the speed and its ruggedness but I want to do more to see how far I can keep it airborne.I got more than 15 minutes out of the battery although I doubt that will last forever. I wish the battery charged faster. It takes about 2.5 to 3 hours using the USB charger that came with it.There are little metal clips that you slide in to hold on the plastic body. It would be nice if there were an easier connection for the body since you have to take it off to put the battery in. But all these trucks seem to work the same way.Another thing I like is that it is really easy to get up and running. If you've flown a drone you know that it can take a while to get confident with the controls. With this truck, even though I didn't have any experience, I was able to get past the learning curve and really enjoy it after a few minutes the first time out.The important parts, the tires, suspension, body and motors seem to be heavy and high quality. I expect it to last a long time although I'm careful not to get too careless and crash into things at high speeds.

Check the axle nuts before and after every use. They spin off and they’re gone.
Very fun, fast, good battery life, can go all terrain, jumps well. Batteries take a long time to charge so buy extras. Also be prepared to buy lots of replacement parts, especially tires. You will also need to replace suspension parts fairly quickly. The parts are cheap and it’s easy to repair but it’s kind of a hassle.

Totally worth the money
Seriously, this this is as good as other reviewers say it is. My six year old had a couple of RC trucks that were in the fifty or sixty dollar range and they were okay, but broke easily. And once broken we discovered that it's impossible to replace any parts on those cheaper all-plastic models. We went to a hobby shop to see if they could help us out and we were out of luck, left with a 4wd truck that had a single driving wheel. My son was pretty disappointed, so I went on the hunt for something better and was shocked by how expensive these things can be.Eventually I found a list of recommended models and this was on it. It was quite a lot cheaper than some of the others but it seemed pretty decent, and most importantly it had replaceable parts so when my son inevitably smashes it a little too hard there's a chance I can fix it.This things is totally fantastic. The controls are very good and the speed is ridiculous. I don't know if it's 30 miles an hour or not, but it's got to be pretty close. It's very solid, has good suspension, and lots of power. The battery life is advertised at 15 minutes, but that must be 15 minutes of continuous driving time, because my son can take it out for 45 minutes easily and it'll still be going. It would be nice if you could charge it without having to take the body off to get at the battery, but other than that I have absolutely no complaints. It's more money than the ones you'll find at the local toy store, but totally worth it.

Superman speed
The media could not be loaded. This rc vehicle is top notch. Unbelievable speed in this one. My son calls it Superman speed. It’s incredibly durable, too- takes a crash and keeps on going. The wheels can handle any just about terrain. And it turns on a dime- the remote is a smooth operator with the wheel.Comes with extra pins which is great just in case you shake one loose or drop it in leaves.Love the excitement- among all ages in the family. This is a great way to get kids hopping to get outdoors. Honestly, you may need two- one for yourself and one for your kid so you don’t take over their toy.

Exceptional Customer Service/GREAT Truck
I have to commend Altair for its EXCEPTIONAL customer service. I bought my 12 year old son a remote control truck from a big box store and it broke and there was no ability to get replacement parts or repair it. I took it back and bought this truck because I read other reviews of great customer service and liked that I could get replacement parts. We got the truck and it is AWESOME. Very fast. My son is a little rough on it and it lost one screw in the first week. It made the axel come loose. I emailed the company on a Sunday night and asked them to ship me some extra screws since it was brand new. They immediately responded and told me they would do even better, they would send me a brand new truck. A couple days later, I got a whole brand new set-up (truck, remote, and battery) via priority mail. In today's day and age, customer service is the #1 thing I look for. This is an awesome truck and the customer service was equally awesome. I don't ever leave reviews, but this was above and beyond.
