Fitbit Aria Air Smart Scale

I've had this scale for almost a month now - It's really useful to know your body weight/progress and being able to see all the trends in the app is very motivating for my fitness journey. I started hard weight training about 1 month ago and use this scale as a way to track my progress. I have to say that I am quite pleased with how well it records results and communicates with the app – I haven't ever had a single issue with the accuracy, app sync or Bluetooth function. · The app tracks the weight whenever you use it - so I have a record of every measurement it's taken since I started using it. You will get your weight, and the scale will send this data to the app over Bluetooth where your BMI will be calculated and graphed. · A great feature for families or flatmates is that the app can store and track the data of multiple users via the same device or on different devices. This feature makes it possible for several people in a household to use this scale to understand their health better. 👉 Using it is simple: Turn ON the app on your phone -> Step on the scale -> Wait for the prompt from the phone, and you're done! ☑ Pros: ✔ Multi-user friendly ✔ Automatic sync ✔ Stable Bluetooth connection ✔ 3 AAA batteries included ✔ Excellent build quality ❎ Cons: - The app options/settings could have been better designed and organised All in all, I’m very pleased with my purchase.

First of all these look great in black and also they have a really well built feel to them. Very easy to set up, just pull the tab out of the back (yep it comes with batteries 3xAA) and it will turn on straight away. Download the fitbit app if you haven't already, turn on your Bluetooth and add device on the fitbit app, click the scales, step on and done, it will synk your weight straight to the app and show you a graph of your progress. There is a little button on the back (pictured) which let's you change the weight displayed from kg to stone or lbs. The scales are very accurate when tested with a weight. Really a good bit of tech that give you a visual representation to motivate you with your weight goals

Don't get me wrong, I love Fitbit trackers and smart watches and have owned several over the years, culminating in their flagship Fitbit Sense which I absolutely adore. I was so into Fitbit that I threw away a perfectly good pair of bathroom scales in October 2020 to replace them with the Fitbit Aria Air and have regretted it ever since! Firstly disappointment, it doesn't even measure body fat! A £50 connected bathroom scale that doesn't even measure body fat! Seriously Fitbit?!! To be honest though, even if it did, I'm not sure the app would be able to use the data constructively. Yes the app is generally brilliant and can do some amazing things with the data it imports from its trackers and smart watches, but when giving you smart scales related data it is extremely lacking and basic. Next huge disappointment was the reliability of its Bluetooth connection. On average it would download the weight reading to the app about one time in five! I downloaded a software patch, and reinstalled it on the app twice, but it never improved. On the odd occasion that it did download, it was so slow that I had usually manually typed my weight into the app by that stage! I've heard reports doubting the accuracy of this scale. I don't know how true they are as I didn't have another scale to compare it with, so who knows. Simply hearing these doubts was concerning though, considering this is priced as a premium product. Final straw was when it started to give me spurious readings last week. Changed the batteries, but it didn't solve the problem and it started weighing 20lbs light! At that point I gave up and binned it. Have just spent £15 on a scale which connects to its app 100% reliably, giving me a plethora of data which the app graphs beautifully for me. It even looks better than the Fitbit and all for less than a third of the price! Here lies the problem - You are simply paying an inflated price for the Fitbit name and getting a very mediocre product in return. Come on Fitbit, you can do much better than this!

Easy to set up but no BMI like the previous one so I don't know haw fat I'm getting...probably a good thing.

It has a roomy footplate (for those with huge feet) - and is quite slimline otherwise. It did take a few attempts to connect to the fitbit app (which was already installed on my phone for use with my fitbit Versa), and it does seem to initially have weighed me about 5 pounds more than my old scales - are these right or the other ones - who knows. Nice in white to fit in nicely with the bathroom. So far, so good (*_*)

Incompatable with the google healthcare app. Worked for 6 ish years until google took over and now doesn't work, absolutely awful.

It looks good, got it set up in moments and been working great so far although only for a week by this point. I'll hold off on verdict regarding the accuracy of the measurements. Based on one other scale used at the gym (when I was fully clothed and therefore slightly heavier), this Aria seems to be overly pessimistic and I weigh more on the Aria than the gym scales which put me at a few hundred grams less, despite being clothed vs not. Not sure which scale is inaccurate in this case. Main thing is consistency - so as long as the scales' bias is fixed, and you measure yourself in a consistent way, it's still useful. For £43 you'd probably want something a *bit* more than just 'it syncs seamlessly'. That said the app integration is very good and I am a fan of the app generally. Assuming you have your phone nearby it syncs up very quickly, although I personally wouldn't mind manually entering my measurement since you still need to confirm it on the app anyway. If you're that lazy or time-stretched, I guess that's a plus, but it's minor. I was wondering how/if these scales measure body-fat percentage, and the answer seems to be that it guesses based on your weight and provided height and sex. Ultimately this is less accurate than an actual sensor, which I was hoping would come provided for £43. Overall, a good product, let down by price. It's charging more than the competition for what I personally regard as very little tangible benefit. For the reader, whether or not you should buy it comes down to how much you rate/buy into the Fitbit ecosystem already. If you use the app/a watch extensively like I do and are in the market for a 'smart' scale (I use that term generously here) then you can't go too wrong with these scales. I'd seriously consider the alternatives though.

Decided to test these scales for a couple of months before reviewing due to others being quite negative. I've been in the Fitbit ecosystem for a number of years with their Charge HR series, opted to go for a direct product instead of using a 3rd party app/scale to log weights as heard they can be quite unreliable. My partner and I both have Fitbits and use the app on our respective mobile devices (Apple & Android). The set up was very easy on both devices and logging our weights, the only caveat is when logging weights at the same time, the app will sometimes log each other's weight on both devices unless bluetooth or the app is closed, as this is easily overcome so I don't see a problem, but worth mentioning. Overall the product does the job, the price in slightly higher than lesser-known brands and not had an issue that would make me send it back.

Update: Inmiddels werkt de app weer prima en wordt alles heel snel gesynchroniseerd. Heb deze weegschaal gekocht omdat ik al een Fitbit horloge heb. Daarnaast ziet hij er gewoon heel mooi uit! Het koppelen en wegen gaat makkelijk. Alleen synchroniseert de weegschaal niet goed met de app. Pas wanneer je de app helemaal stopt, (vanuit instellingen) en daarna weer opstart, worden er goed gesynchroniseert. Aanrader als je het niet erg vindt dat het niet vlekkeloos werkt, voor de rest een topapparaat ;)

Elle me convient très bien la balance , effectivement sur l'application ce n'est pas assez explicite je veux dire c'est tout traduit par des barres ,ou organigrammes mais ça va. Il manque juste un truc vous pouvez ajouter la masse musculaire svp ?

Very nice design, accurate and easy to use. Can be easily converted to metric system through a touch button on the back of the balance. Paired to your phone via bluetooth and the fitbit software available in google or Apple stores. The software is great to record your daily weight, store it and show some statistics. The firmware can also be updated through the "Aria air update" app also available in google or Apple stores. The firmware update is explained step by step in the app.
