Nice little set of metallics.
Crayola has a really huge selection of colors and these metallics are every bit as bright and nice as the rest of their line. They can be convinced to blend, they go down smoothly and they are not difficult to erase. They take sharpening well. They're a lot of fun for not a lot of money.

Subtle metallic colors with lots of joy for kids
I bought these as a loot bag filler for a five-year-old’s birthday party, and they were perfect for this: not too expensive, not something parents will hate me for sending home, and delightful and practical for the kids.Once we used ours at home, I found the colors a bit more muted and less bright metal than expected. They’re more like shiny normal Crayola colors, but I’ve actually enjoyed them as more subtle and usable than expected.

Beautiful Array Of Colors
I purchased this set of Crayola Metallic pencils as an addition to my Crayola 120 count set. The Crayola 100 and 120 count does not include the silver and gold or any of these metallic colors in this set. I like the additional metallics such as the copper and purple as well. I did have some difficulty getting them to blend well but fortunately Jenna Turin put up a new video on you tube that demonstrates a technique to get good results with the metallic pencils .As always, I am never disappointed with Crayola. They perform well in laying down pigment and blend well. The price point of Crayola items such as these along with their watercolor pencils and markers makes art available to many . I own other brands but still love and use Crayola. Just look on YouTube for videos for great techniques to get great results with Crayola products. Except for professionals that require lightfastness for the pieces they sell , many of us don’t need to spend big bucks for our art projects that give us many hours of enjoyment.

NICE METALLIC COLORS, BUT LIGHT COLOR TRANSFER- PRESS TO GET HEAVY COLOR- PRISMACOLOR ARE BETTER
I bought these and some prismacolor colored pencils last year to go with a shrinky dink jewelRy kit gift. These do have a nice metallic look to them, however they are not as vibrant or as soft to color with as the prismacolor. The leads in these are a little harder and therefore need more pressure to get good color. We still use these sometimes for the metallic look for the shrink art jewelry, but the prismacolor pencils are all completely used up. They were the favorite to do art work, take to school, etc. These took a distant second place. We used up the whole set of 24 prismacolors while we still have all 8 of these pencils left- maybe used 1/4 on each one.Bottom line, if you specifically need metallic pencils, these will do the job. If you are looking for everyday pencils to do art, draw, school, etc., then you can't go wrong with prismacolor sets.

For budget these are impressive
I tried the neon Crayola set and was not impressed, felt like I wasted my few dollars. But this set feels much different, great colors, look great on the page, feel great in my hand and when laying down color. Honestly thought I’d never try Crayola again. I’m trying lots of metallic colors in coloring books but if I were on a budget to add metallic accents this would be a good buy. Even with my fancier metallics (C. & D. brands) I feel like they add something and compare well considering price.
