Lots of grip
I have a ramp up to the door on my shed. Between the ramp aging and my old steel toes relegated to yard work, it's a bit of a slip and slide. Cut up some strips of this to stick on each plank and it works very well. A few months in and it's held up to foot traffic and weather. The paper backing takes some effort to remove but if you fold a corner back and forth it isn't insurmountable. I appreciate the heavy adhesive but you won't get a second chance if you don't put it exactly where you want the first time. So be it. Works as intended. There isn't a lot of it though in each roll so make sure to measure what you need before buying or else you'll be going back for more like I did.

Must have safety product
Must have for anyone with outdoor steps. Last summer I built a set of steps to connect my 2nd floor deck to my yard. This does a great job of providing grip in the rain and snow.Application is very straight forward and easy, just follow the directions or do a Google search if your unsure. I rounded the corners of my strips down and applied two strips to each of the 12 steps. Wiped the wood down with isopropyl alcohol first and they have done a great job of staying put. Since I don't work with this product, I made the mistake of not wearing any sort of gloves during the installation and while pressing the strips down to guarantee full contact with the steps surface, I tore my hands up a bit until I found a set of gloves so i'd def advise anyone to wear gloves from the beginning during installation.Just inspected them earlier today and after a decent amount of snow this winter and close to everyday use by either myself or the 3 dogs, there isn't a single strip or piece of the tape that is coming up or appears lose. There is also a good deal of grip material with no smooth spots are areas that wouldn't provide traction if needed. Might be a bit expensive to some but its well worth the investment as I've seen what can happen when you slip and fall down steps that are covered in rain and ice.

perfect product, assuming it holds up
Barring any unexpected outdoor durability issues, this product is as good as it gets. The backing peels off easily, the adhesive is uniformly applied and grips to cleaned surfaces like nobody's business, and there's no kinks from being rolled too tight. My only complaint is with the packaging. They put several big dabs of glue at the free end of the roll, securing it to the grip tape side of the next layer down. It's a totally unnecessary annoyance to have to work that glue free from the grit (or trash the entire outer layer), when the thing is in a sealed box and can't unroll regardless! Waste of glue, waste of time, potential waste of materials. Use a twist tie if you're concerned about it holding together. At least that can be reused and takes no time to remove.

Adds trackson
Good stuff last a several years outside porch. Some hard to remove others peeled out with minimal adhesive left behind after 8 years. Also used 3 strips on a metal slant board a lot less slippage than before.

Elderly Adult
These worked well for an elderly adult's stairs. It made it easier for her to get up and down.

Works great!
I built a ramp going from our front to back yard. Once I was done I realized it was probably a little steeper then it should be. It was fine when it was clean and dry but as soon as it got a little bit of saw dust or mud/dirt on it felt like you might slide. I installed a strip of this stuff at the top and bottom of each board of the ramp (2x6) boards and now even my elderly neighbor says she feels comfortable going up and down the ramp. It's only been 2 months since I installed it but it doesn't show signs of wearing or peeling even though I regularly go up and down it with the lawn mower, wheelbarrow, and other equipment. I'll see how it's holding up after winter and update if it changes but I think the stuff is there to stay.I didn't prep the surface as well as I probably should have, I hosed it off but didn't bother to scrub any dirt off. Also after hosing it off I only gave it about two hours to dry. The wood wasn't soaked any more but still damp to the touch, like I said though it's been holding fine any way. As far as people that had trouble with it sticking I highly recommend doing it on a hot day, preferably with the sun beating on the tape. Also if you get a piece down and realize it's not how you want it, your going to have to toss it. Once you peel it off it just doesn't seem to stick right, even if it's only on for a second.

Solid product!
I am using these on the ramp of an enclosed trailer. Especially in the snow, the ramp was extremely slippery, as was the aluminum transition flap at the top of the ramp. I placed strips of this tape across the full width of the ramp, spaced every 12". The adhesive has held up well under rain, sun, and snowy conditions, and sticks securely both to the wood of the ramp and the aluminum transition flap. For installation, sweep and dust the surface thoroughly. Mark guidelines on the surface to help your alignment when applying. Use a roller to press down the product after placement. Or, without a roller, walk solidly on every square inch of the applied tape so that the adhesive is well engaged with the surface.Tip: for this tape (and many other tapes & stickers) you can improve the longevity by rounding the corners before you put it on. Keep those corners and the rest of the ends as clean as you possibly can while installing. If you are going to get fingerprints anywhere, do it somewhere in the middle of the tape. This means that you can get better results if you remove that backing paper starting in the middle, rather than at an end.
