Highly Recommend this Series to Anyone
Rogue Wave is the second book in The Water Keepers Series, written by Christie Anderson. I gave Deep Blue Secret, the first book in the series, a five-star rating, and I also give this book a five-star.Out of the three books I’ve read in this series, this one has the most romance. There’s still plenty of action and another main plot to this story. However, the two main characters explore and decide what to do with their feelings for each other. All of our questions about their relationship gets answered in this book. The story is very creative and original. The teenage characters act true to themselves, and I enjoy Sadie’s relationship with her mother and Rayne. There’s just enough action and romance to balance this series out.The only negative for me was how easy it was for her to believe the worst of Rayne immediately after he disclosed his feelings for her. I have a similar moment in one of my own novels, and as a writer I know why it was done. I just didn’t think he looked guilty enough. However, that did not take away from the story at all, and I still love it.As for my conservative clean rating for this being a young adult novel, I give this my squeaky clean seal of approval. There are no curse words, the action and violence are not filled with blood and gore, and the romance is very sweet. I’m highly impressed with a certain scene within this book, as the writer had to make a decision on how far the young couple would go. I read many young adult fantasy novels, and I’m often turned off by authors thinking teenagers can’t control their hormones or make good decisions. I’ve even read a book where the young couple got into a heated argument over a trivial thing as a way to keep them from succumbing to temptation during a night alone. I applaud Christie Anderson for how this was handled in the book. It was believable and well done.I highly recommend this series, as it keeps getting better. My favorite one is Ambrosia Shore, and I’ll have a review on it soon. It is very different from the first two, and I’m looking forward to the release of the fourth book in the series.

Amazing~ even better than the first
While the first book sucked me in, this one was even better! The characters got even more real, the situations more grown up, and plot better. It starts out shortly after the first book ended~ about 5 months. You hear from Ash first, and he closes all the gaps that were left hanging about him and Voss. Chap 2 goes back to Sadie and explains what she has been up to for the last 5 months~ and it makes sense. Now that the danger is gone, there is nothing to do but to try to move on. Rayne still isn't being honest about everything though, and it is really messing up her ability to make the right decisions. My favorite chapters were 17 & 18 where it explained Sadie's experience and the next chapter explains Rayne's experiences during the exact time frame. It was interesting seeing the same exact thing happen from 2 different point of views. The thing that hit me the most was seeing Sadie change throughout the book. She grows by leaps and bounds as she gets deep down and honest with herself. It is nice to see that the main characters don't come together through a circumstance but because they take a long, hard and honest look at themselves and make the conscience decision what to do.The only thing that really bothered me in Rogue Wave was that NOW Sadie seems to be traumatized by the things that happened in the first book. It almost seems like she has a touch of PTSD~ and talks about how hard it was on her to be kidnapped, etc. However, in the first book, it was glossed over and not taken seriously. I don't understand how something that meant nothing last time could mean so much now. I am happy that it was handled differently in this book because I thought that is was handled wrong in the first book. This seems to make up for it.I can not wait to read the 3rd book~ I've already bought it. I will be sad when this series is done.

Best in the series--a can't-put-down read
After Deep Blue Secret, I was doubtful as to if Christie Anderson could do better, but boy was I wrong! This was probably my favorite in the water keepers series (at least up until book 3--book 4 isn't out right now). It keeps you on the edge of your seat at all times, and throughout it you just can't stop yourself from rooting for Rayne and Sadie! Rayne is honestly so sweet sometimes in this book that I just want to fall over, so be prepared to swoon. It managed to have a paranormal-type romance without boring me to series about some vampire or werewolf that they just love more than anything and they would rather die than be without them and wah wah blah blah...you get what I mean. The romance in this book was actually intriguing; it had twists and turns (lots of those), ups and downs (practically a roller coaster), it had depth!I loved seeing Sadie get some more development in this book, and also getting to see some more narration from Rayne and others. Really all of the characters were just so fantastic, even Ash in his own way--a broken boy who's struggling with his sense of what's right and what to believe. Also, Sadie's mom is so well developed, which never seems to happen in books (they're so often these one-dimensional characters that interfere in the background), so cudos to Christie!Lots of questions from book 1 were answered, which I (and probably everyone else who read this) loved. Overall, it was seriously just a fantastic read; not cliche and definitely a hooking read. I couldn't put it down (literally)!!!!!

Rayn reveals secrets
More trouble is dished out to Rayn by the man he thought was his friend. Good complicated romance elements; lots of emotions.

Romantic fantasy
Enjoyable romantic fantasy. As enjoyable as the first. There is plenty of mystery and action as Sadie and Rayne's romance is blossoming but there is danger for both them and those around them. Can't wait for next in series.

Review book 2
Still feel the storyline is very predictable, but have continued to read it, just to see what happens to the characters, it is not a bad book just feel it is predictable and nothing new to keep you going, but I will probably finish the series, but would not pay much for them.
