These silicone caps work! Fabric type toe caps flattened down after wearing only a short time. My big toe has a screw head (from surgical hardware) poking downward at the end of my toe so every time I'd walk or there was any pressure on the toe, it was very painful. These make it possible for hike every day with no toe pain. At the end of the day they get washed with a little soap and water. Showed this item to my podiatrist who had not seen this VENTILLATED style and liked them. I avulsed my big toenail... and yes, it's not fun. I have latex allergies, so I am cautious, and I needed to wear my normal shoes, if possible. Thankfully, ice & heat routines have minimized swelling. This said, my toe bed is still tender when the re-laid toenail is jostled. I needed something that wouldn't accumulate sweat too badly in Florida, while holding up to a teacher's day. These work wonderfully!!! They stretch open, but are genuinely gentle on my toe. The sides have breathing holes, so moisture is minimized. They stick to the tape I use to secure them (I love barefoot walking, and actively use my toes walking - even shoed). The caps also hold up well to triple antibiotic ointment as well as hot dishsoap cleaner. The silicone cap is thinner than gauze bandages, washable and reusable when not damaged. I have torn one catching my toe on yet another thing, but if it wasn't for the cap, I am sure it wouldn't have been pretty. They are mostly comfortable under socks in normal flat tennis shoes. Also, the price is reasonable if I felt the need to dispose of them daily. I do wash them twice daily and shower in them. I think knowing I can still be environmentally friendly is helpful.

This product works well IF you are not doing a lot of walking. I walk about 6 miles every night at work, they tore in half every night. That said they are comfortable, easy to put on and protected well.

I love this product. About 8 years ago, I had a procedure done on my big left toe which left the screw in. I never had a problem with my toe until recently whereby I started having pain @ the top of my big toe and a bump started to form at the top of the screw head. I am pretty active physically, so this is when I started to experience pain. I took a chance of doing a search in Amazon for some type of toe protector and came across this amazing product. They fit perfectly over my toe and when I go out and do sports, I feel no pain. Thank you for an excellent product!

Works well

After losing half of my toenail to nail fungus, I wanted to protect the tender skin on my big toe. This pack of 10 toe covers is perfect! They are extremely comfortable, and stay in place all day. I don't use them in my tennis shoes, but I have used them with flip flops, sandals, and water shoes. They even stay on in the swimming pool and white water rafting! Once all 10 have been used, I wash them in a sink full of hot soapy water. I also use a fungal spray on them to prevent further spread of my nail fungus.

I recently had a serious surgery on my big toe which resulted in the toe ending up a half an inch shorter and I was told by my Doctor that this would happen because of the situation with my toe . Someone told me to buy some toe caps so I found some and got them. I was hopeful that I this would help my problem since it is difficult to walk with a short toe. They were too tight and they rubbed on the scar below the toe and caused pain and irritation. They only come in 1 size so they were not suitable for me. Now I'm making an effort to adjust how I walk. The Doctor told me it will become easier with time. They probably would work for others, just not for me.

bought these gel toe caps as recommended by another ballet dancer in my class since I was experiencing a lot of pressure on my big toes when on my block (I have tapered feet). These absolutely lessen the pressure and I can already tell it's helping prevent blisters and injury to my big toenails. I gave a pair to my friend and she said that it's been helping a lot with her pain as well. Would highly recommend this for all ballet dancers en pointe

Wearing steel caps was causing real trauma to my big toe today I wore the silicone toe guard and there was no pain at all best part is I didn't feel like it was even there other than the lack of jebus Christmas my toe hurts pain. Highly recommended
