Tensile Strength Disappointment to Satisfaction
Original review: I was hoping for that name brand replacement at a reasonable cost and I didn't find it with the Godline S 20lb braid. Im fortunate enough to have high end test equipment at my disposal, that being a Chatillon LS tensile tester, and had disappointing results. I understand that pulling 3ft of length in a dry condition is not a totally fair test but I expected the 20lb braid to break above 15lb. Long story short, this braid snapped consistently at 7-8lbs. 7lbs dry, and 8lbs when the line was wetted. The breaks occurred anywhere from 3" to 7" from the knot. I pulled 11 samples. That being said, the diameter of this line is much smaller than say the Daiwa J-Braid x4 20lb test. This Godline S 20lb braid could actually be a replacement for 10lb braid, you'll just have to get over the fact that the packaging and labeling says 20lbs. I stopped at the tensile test and didn't even give it a try. I need to be confident in my gear so I can't say Godline will end up on any of my sticks.Update 8/2/2018: Monica from FISHINGSIR Customer Service reached out and wanted to understand more about my review and explained that the line I received could have had a bad batch. So I swapped out the spool for another and re-tested. Much to my surprise, this new spool of line tested much better. Using the same test equipment and setup as before, the line was able to achieve an average of 15.8lbs tensile strength. The breaks still occurred between 3"-7" from the knot. For reference, Godline S 20lb test line diameter is 0.16mm. PowerPro 15lb test line diameter is 0.18mm. All things considered, I guess I'll be giving the line a try this weekend out on the water. Excellent customer service!

braided fishing line at a fair price you need to take a look at FishingSir’s Super Dyneema Braid
If you’re looking for a high quality, smooth, braided fishing line at a fair price you need to take a look at FishingSir’s Super Dyneema Braid. I purchased a single sppol a couple of months ago to try it and was so pleased with its performance that I got more. This is an 8-strand braid making it a smooth and non-abrasive line and comes in several different colors, weight and lengths. My first order was the 329yd spool of 30lb test in Moss Green. I liked the clear spool packaging as this made it easier for me see while I was spooling it up on my reel. With the 329yd spool I was able to fully load up two bait basting reels; at over half the cost of what I was able to spool only one reel of other brands. As a budget angler this is a great savings. As far as performance, I immediately saw a difference on the first cast. I was able to easily get an extra 10 to 15 yards farther with this line. Since I fish almost exclusively from a kayak the extra casting is an enormous bonus. I have also noticed that I have fewer issues with bird nesting since using this line. This has great strength and the sensitivity is superior to other brands I have used and has contributed directly to several hook ups that I certain I would have missed without this line.I highly recommend switching to the FishingSir Super Dyneema Braided line as soon as possible. You will not be disappointed.

slightly frail
the line is super thin. i tied an 8lb flouro leader on and when i pulled the line tight the braid actually broke first. i purchased 15lbedit 7/11/18I have to amend my review to say this brand will not hesitate to assist customers with any issues with their products. they have great communication and take great pride in the products they create. it would be nice if all companies had these kind of policies. it really inspires customer loyalty.

Just when I thought godline couldn't get any better they proved me wrong and came out with godline ...
Just when I thought godline couldn't get any better they proved me wrong and came out with godline S. The line is exactly as advertised smother, thinner, and its really abrasion resistant. I bought the 10 and 20lb in moss green and yellow in the biggest spools they had because that's how confident I am in this company. You get the same quality line as suffix 832/powerpro for a lot cheaper. I fish for everything from crappie, bass, walleye, and northren. I still have yet to have the line break. Also notice how powerpro just recently came out with a new braid line claiming to be 25% smaller then its original. So godline clearly was already on the next level. Give it a try you wont regret it I only use godline braid now as long as they keep the price where its at and the bulk spools in varies line sizes I will be a permanent customer for life.

Small diameter to test strength is excellent.
I'm a bass fisherman and my favorite fishing technique is to fish the really heavy cover. I do this with a moderate to heavy casting rod and real. I like to use a heavy test line 25-40 lbs. This gives me the ability to rip the bass right out of most any cover. I'm finding this line with it's small diameter to breaking strength, an excellent product. The small diameter allows for good casting distance. Using this line with a Palomar knot and a floating frog is a killer combination.

Great Line For The Price.
So far it's been working great and I noticed the longer casting on the surf. And always, I love Amazon prime, customer service, price & fast shipping.

Best Braid For The Money
Awesome line. Casts well and holds color well. I’ve used the 50lb for several months now on top water baits in and around the grass. No issues, very tough strong line. Best braid for the money. God Line is now the only braid I’ll buy.
