OMG!
We bought two of these. We were Fitbit people. But, Fitbit has lost ground and become very difficult to use. We were about to upgrade to their Sense from the Versa series, but became so frustrated we began looking for alternatives. We researched and researched! In the end, we took a chance on Samsung and went with the Active 2. We bought two of them. Now, there is a learning curve...we are not the most adept people with smartphones etc., but we're getting the hang of it. These smart watches are absolutely over the top! Truly, as we explore, I'm expecting to find a button we can push allowing this watch to jump off our wrists, vacuum the floors, empty the cat box and cook dinner. Well, maybe that's a bit high of an expectation, but they are unreal! The Galaxy Active 2 is not even their top of the line (I think the 3 and now the 4 are out), but they are just amazing. We got a good deal--great discount and I see very little difference between the Galaxy 3 at $350ish vs. what we paid ($179) each. Pros: ECG, Sleep is much more accurate than Fitbit, Steps are much more accurate than Fitbit; You can get the LTE version which gives you more accessibility/freedom from bluetooth/wifi set ups (as I understand). We went with bluetooth. Easy to charge, high quality band; made peace with the round watch face vs. square; awesome bezel, voice activation is available; many watch faces (via google wearable); O2 feature, B/P feature and on and on. Cons: battery not as long lasting as Fitbit, but easier/faster to charge; Samsung "community" not as accessible as Fitbit; it takes some focus to learn to use the features--thankfully YouTube is available; Wish they had compatibility with PC's and not just smartphones, but all the smart watches are abandoning Windows (it would appear). Galaxy Active 2= highly recommended--especially if you are using Samsung android phones.

LOVE THIS WATCH
To be honest I absolutely love this watch. My focus for the last four months have really been on my health. This watch has been invaluable in that process. With it connecting to the fitness app I am able to put everything in there to help monitor calories in and calories out. It is so nice having all the information right there on my wrist. They also have a small workout apps and links to “calm” so as you’re doing your exercises or meditations your watch monitors your vitals. Very nice feature. You can also pause the exercise video playing on your phone from your watch. The watch also shows you which exercise is coming up next how long you are doing it and will vibrate when it’s time to change to the next one. Very interactive with the workout apps. Connected very easily with my Samsung galaxy phone. They have some apps but not a ton yet. I’m hoping their App Store will grow over time. Also other apps do not communicate well with this one overall. Most of them have Fitbit and Garman and Apple watches as options but not this one yet. It’s also nice getting phone call and text notifications right there on my wrist. I do not use the watch to respond most the time as the phone is just easier. it monitors your sleep as well however I do not wear to bed anymore. I find that when I wear it to bed I actually wake up with my arm totally dead with that tingly sensation. Only happens when I wear the watch. I’ve talked to a few other people that have experienced the same issues with any type of watch along this line. Very strange but there seems to be a connection there. Most times the first thing I do is buy a different wristband and replace the one that comes with the watches. I personally actually like the one that came with this one and have chosen to use it. I hope you found this review somewhat helpful. If you have a please hit the helpful button below. Hope everyone has a wonderful day today!

Great features and size (40mm)
I am the kind of guy who when he finds something that works well, I tend to buy a second to have as a spare because things just change so much and not all changes are for the best. With that, I plan to watch sales to pick up another one of these when I can.I bought the 40mm because I like wearing a "watch" not a grandfather clock on my wrist. This watch is a great size and doesn't seem to get caught on things as much as my Fitbit did. I suspect that's because it's round and not square. The display is fantastic! It's clear, bright even at half-brightness viewable in direct sunlight with ease. What about in darkness, you ask? The auto-dim works great and it won't burn your retinas out if you check it after waking. The battery life, I feel, is pretty decent for a smart watch that has all of these features. It isn't as good as my old FitBit Versa 2, but the Versa 2 didn't have as many features nor as good of a display. The Galaxy Active 2 will easily last me 48 hours between charges. And when I put it on the charger around the 45th hour, it still has about 20% left. If I didn't charge it then, I'd expect it to go into power save mode and I'd probably get through until about noon the next day or possibly later. I just prefer to have it fully functional all day. I will note, that I don't use the health app function that syncs back to my phone nor do I use the weather function. Those are huge battery drains and I really just don't care about those features. I do use the built-in activity monitor in the watch, however. It seems accurate and tracks heart rate and activity. Good enough for me.

A technological wonder!
Except for the relatively shorter battery life, I have absolutely no issues with Active2.

Excelente producto

Not worked for even one year.
watch started rebooting always and stopped working. Took it to Samsung service Centre and they said it is not covered under warranty. needs to purchase parts for fixing the issue and there will be charges. Charges were more than the price of this watch. Wasted money.
