Great cables....
If I would have known I could pick up such a quality cable for the price I got them for I would have got them way sooner! I bought a ten foot circuit breaker cable for guitar to pedalboard and twenty foot custom to amp. Right off the bat I could hear much better tone in the highs for sure with less noise. These cables work so well I purchased two of their custom cabling kits for Pedalboards. Once again more tone clarity and little to no noise. Don't be a fool and spend more these are extremely high quality cables! Now that my complete chain is planet waves cabled I really love the results and my bass player has switched over as well. Since I been only using them for a few weeks and two gigs I can't say how durable they are but I usually get 2 -3 years per cable so that's my benchmark. If they fall short I'll refresh this review to reflect so.

You Get What You Pay For. Great Product.
I've had this cable for five years. Works just as good as the day I bought it. For gigs, practicing, and rehearsing the ability to completely mute my base/guitar is indispensable. If you want to leave the amp on while changing instruments, you can use it to prevent the "pop" when you change on a normal 1/4" cable. Other times, I just want to go acoustic for tuning or working out a fingering without interrupting another player. If you need to put your instrument down, you don't need to touch the amp to kill the feedback/hum. My only regret was buying the 90 degree end. It does not go into my telecaster's recessed jack. Perfect for my bass, though. Sometimes I will put one between the pedal board and my amp, allowing me to move pedals around without needing to turn off the amp. And because of the design, you can shorten it/cut out a damaged section and just reattach the end pieces where you need them. With how well this thing has aged, I don't think I'll ever need to buy another.

Outstanding Cable with Sweet Feature!
I have all Mogami cables and used the Red Nuetrik Silent Plug jack for my guitars. I seen this on sale at an incredible price. So I thought I would give it a shot. The one I received differs from the one they show in ad. I have the 15 foot version and it holds its own with Mogami in a live setting. When I recorded with it, that's when you hear the difference. Not to say it's a bad cable, I'm falling in love with it. But when you're recording, you can see why Mogami is the industry standard. It did a great job recording but not nearly as good as Mogami. When people tell you cheap cables work just as well as the higher end ones, IE; Mogami, Monster, Klotz, George L to name a few, they do not know their cables. That or they are just playing from home or jamming with a small band in the garage. Making an investment in a good cable pays off. With the lifetime warranty, the sound, durability and the quality, you will be paying less and sounding much better in the end. One and you're done. It goes bad, all you do it take it to a local authorized dealer and they will hand you a brand new one.CONCLUSION:I would highly recommend this cable as it does what it says it will and gets rid of that accidental POP when you unplug. You get a really nice tone with it, no tone coloring or hum. It does a fine job when used in a recording setting, but a even better job in a live setting. The more I use this cable when I'm playing live, the more I'm loving it. Sure I love my Mogami with the Nuetrik Silent Plug jack. As for a quality to price ratio, the Planet Waves is an incredible value. With a lifetime warranty, excellent tone, no hum, and durability. I say get one today and never look back.

The new design makes a once-great cable practically useless for its intended purpose
I hate that they destroyed a great cable design. This used to be my absolute cable of choice for use with my electric violin in musical theatre pits. I could "feel" in the dark when the mute was engaged, and warm up for difficult runs without putting sound through to the house. It was also perfect for quickly hot-swapping instruments ... no worries about pops or scrapes from the tip of the connector accidentally making contact with anything. This version of the new design -- the only one the company initially made available -- doesn't have a latching mute button that you can "press and forget" until you are ready to press it again to restore the connection and sound, but only breaks the circuit while you are physically holding down the button. Why? Why did they change this? This new design is essentially useless to me unless I can grow a third hand. After a great many complaints from a very unhappy customer base, I understand the company has released a "latching off" version of the cable that is designed to restore some of the functionality they removed from this version ... but the mute button has been redesigned in such a way that it is no longer "shielded" by rising sides of the plug, and is therefore disconcertingly easy for players of certain types of instrument -- such as guitarists -- to depress accidentally with an arm.I am so mad that something I loved, bought a lot of over the years, and depended on has been re-engineered to be so much less useful. Why buy a company with great products and happy customers and then change the products that made those customers happy? I want the original Planet Waves circuit breaker cables back. :-( I'm looking for an alternate solution. Any suggestions?
