I was so excited to get this paisley rolling pin. But the excitement was over as soon as I rolled it over my clay. Horizontal lines were present the full length of the pin and were a big distraction visually from the pattern. Due to poor quality impression I won't be able to use it. I will not order from this source again.UPDATE to this review: The seller reached out to me and was willing to replace the rolling pin or adjust pricing. Because I do like the paisley pattern of the pin I did agree to accept a replacement. It was sent promptly and the impression quality is improved on this pin. I am changing my overall rating based on them reaching out to me, and their desire to satisfy their customer. Thank You.

I really enjoyed using this rolling pin. I treated myself to this item because I had a request for a large order of Italian wedding cookies. This pin made nice impressions, was easy to use with the recipe chosen, and gave very professional looking results. In the photo the pink scalloped cookies near the bottom have the Paisley impression. I then frosted them with thin royal icing and a bit of luster dust. Elegant indeed! NOTE: I did rub the rolling pin with vegetable oil before using to condition it and to prevent sticking. Worked fine; had it not worked well with cookies my backup plan was to use it on polymer clay. Most likely I will order more patterns in the future.

appears to be very nice. the carving is very pretty and smooth no ruff edges or lines. can't wait to try it out this weekend. I will make a additional statement to this review when i do. But, at this time I am really happy with the size it's not to small its about 2 inches smaller than my standard size rolling pin. which i found is just fine when try to roll cookie patterns in the past. Since I am not rolling a really large area of dough. But, for the price couldn't beat it.

I didnt find that the design was deep enough to copy it when you roll out the dough. And I was pressing down with both hands. Pretty design and was hoping it would show up better.

Disappointed, but not mad. You’ll need a cookie recipe with a lot of body (fat). The pattern didn’t pickup on the dough very easily. I ended up cutting my cookies into thick biscuit shapes and using the rolling pin on individual cookies. Overall it’s still cute - I collect rolling pins.

The pattern is nice but it has straight lines across the pattern where the design was etched out and it transfers to the cookies.

I made German spice cookies and after rolling the dough to near thickness I ran this roller over the dough firmly. The design stayed in after baking and made the cookies look a bit fancy. Made well, easy to use and easy to clean. I stored mine in the cardboard box it came in so that it doesn’t get dented.

I wanted to try an embossed rolling pin but I did not want to pay a lot. This fits the bill.
