I definitely like the view. Very clear and can see the puddle. Can't run a weld in a straight line if you can't see where you're going. Easy access to switch and adjust functions. Flip of the switch from grinding to welding. I have used this for TIG & Stick.I like the matte finish as well. I don't have any trouble with reflection from the entering from the backside of the helmet. My only two complaint is the headgear. Since I easy access to switch back and forth between grinding and welding, the fact the hood doesn't stay up as long as I want it to isn't a major issue. But it is annoying when it won't stay up. The inside lens is easily scratched when its cleaned off. Make sure you use some compressed air to remove any debris prior to wiping it down.I recommend this for the Entry Level /Student welder. Its a great gift idea for sure.

I bought this for my husband. He absolutely loves this helmet! He says it is both comfortable and the can see great with it! When he got to work, everyone wanted to try it out!

It’s comfortable, easy to use, and the sight is great. My only complaint is that at almost any angle and lighting I’ve used, there’s a big mirror like effect in the mask, so while I can see the arc , the rest of the glass is a very clear reflection of what’s behind you which can sometimes really throw you off. I’ve been considering jerry rigging something to completely block off the back which is unfortunate but the hood would be perfect if that mirror effect was gone

So far I've only done a small amount of plasma cutting and a few mig welding projects around the home this weekend. I plan on using it at my job where it'll see heavy use. So far I really love the crisp clear view and huge vision area. The only real problem is where do I get replacement cover lenses, it's 4 and 5\8 x 5 and 3\8 for the outside cover plate. I go through 1 or more a week when we are busy. The helmet itself is fantastic though. 12-13-2019 I have now been using this helmet for a month and a half. The helmet is great. I get cover plates that fit it at Menards. They measure 4 5/8 by 5 1/2 and fit well. The only weakness is the head harness, and the location of the adjustments. I had to tape over the weld grind mode to keep from switching it to grind when I used my left hand to flip the helmet up or down. Sometimes my left hand turns the shade lighter or darker when I flip it up or down also. The knobs for adjusting the head harness loosens periodicly too, but most brands do this. Optical clarity is awesome, and no one else in my shop has as large a viewing area. Overall a good buy.

Great clear view, no problems seeing in tight spots. The lens was very reactive didn’t have any issues with getting flashed. The only issue is the button location it’s kind of crammed together a little more space between would make it easier for when you are wearing your gloves and trying to switch to grind when you are in a tight spot. Overall very happy with this purchase

Pleased with the overall quality, but, the face-shield is front-heavy, can't find the sweet-spot in the adjustments.

I wasn't sure about this with no reviews at the time, but I was pleasantly surprised with this helmet. The True Color makes viewing the material and the weld area a bit better than the traditional green view, the speed seems to be great, the viewing area is HUGE and that makes for welding in weird angles that much easier. The head gear is very comfortable so far and it does indeed have the provisions for a 2"x 4" cheater lens inside which helps those of us with aging eyes.Overall I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend the hood to anyone.

Novice welder, never understood why my welds weren't improving. Being able to see what you're working on sure helps. This helmet is a huge improvement over my old one. Visibility is great, feels comfortable on my head, just wish there was a little more room between the mask and my face. Being so close causes the mask to fog easily.
