Quality, Cheap, effective solution!
Unless you need the prettiest chain catcher solution.. this will more than do.Fitment is great.Build quality (considering it's cheap) is quite good.Mounts up extremely easily and is adjustment is pretty straight forward.Comes with four pieces: nut, bolt, strap, and metal guide. It's by no means heavy duty, if your chain comes off all the time you have a bigger problem that needs a better solution.I'm considering bending tip to follow the shape of the chain line by the rings a bit more ergo.Make sure you find out the diameter of your seat tube before ordering or else you will be setting yourself up for disappointment.

Simple and perfect solution to chain jumping.
My son's front derailleur stopped functioning on his mountain bike. I removed it, thinking that I could just leave the chain on the 2nd ring up front. Everytime he would jump off a curb, the chain would jump to the smallest ring- then it would jump off the rings completely with another jump off a curb. So annoying! This jump chain stop fixed the problem perfectly, AND it has enough adjustment to keep the chain on the 2nd and even the 3rd ring. I thought I would be stuck on the smallest ring, so the range of adjustment was a very nice surprise. No matter how hard you bash on the bike or whatever gear you choose for the rear, the chain stays put. I give this device 5 stars for being simple and perfectly effective. Check out the pics.....

Seems effective... so far
I've only had this for a day but so far it seems to work. I got this for a 1x even though that's not the intended purpose.I recently converted my older hardtail mountain bike to 1x8 for the same of simplicity, and because I used the middle chain ring about 98% of the time anyway. However after switching the chain kept falling off on moderately bumpy downhill sections every time I rode the bike, which was especially annoying because the way the chain ring I have is designed made it difficult to pull the chain out too. I should probably get a new chainring designed for 1x, but for now I didn't feel like dropping the $$$.Anyway, I looked at some other chain guides like the ones from MRP and I couldn't understand why a simple plastic/metal part should cost over $50, so I went with this one instead. I've only used it once so far but it was very easy to install and it seems to work. It feels durable despite only being $10. I went on a short 3 mile ride today on a trail that's pretty bumpy and the chain did not fall off this time, even when I hit the downhill sections with some speed! So I think it's a success. If it happens to break or stops working for whatever reason I'll update the review.

Inexpensive insurance
I have two road bikes and recently acquired a Diamondback gravel bike. All have double front chain rings. No matter how well adjusted the front derailleur is, I've had cases of the chain jumping off the small ring when going from the large to small. If it's ever happened to you, you come to a sudden and surprising stop with some serious scratching to the bottom bracket area. With the chain watcher installed, this happening is quite impossible and gives a lot of peace of mind when shifting. The N-Gear guide is a snap to install and is barely noticeable since it fits below the front derailleur.

Great for running a 1x setup
I just purchased my third one of these for my most recent mtb build. There are so many reasons why this device is awesome:- It does what its supposed to do.- Its very well made.- Its simple and easy to setup.- It stays in place once set up.- Its very affordable. The only thing I would like to see change would be for it to be offered with all the bands for the various seat tube diameters. For instance, I have one of these that I took off of an older bike. I couldn't reuse it because my newer bike has a different tube size. I also had to be sure about ordering the correct one for my new bike. Its not a big deal because they're not that expensive.I also run this paired with a bashguard. I don't know how well it would work without one.

FINALLY no more chain drop!!!
Installed this on my bike last week and have over 40 miles on it. Wow. After more than 2,300 miles plagued with constant chain drops off the small ring (cheap FSA Vero compact crankset, and a properly adjusted 105 FD-5700 front derailer), I FINALLY can downshift without having to stop pedaling, look down, shift, then continue pedaling. Sometimes I would even have to back-pedal a bit if the chain started to drop, or stop and get off it did indeed drop completely. Makes riding much less stressful now. I found it very easy to install and recommend it to anyone, especially those with compact double 34-50 cranksets.I really like the large "plate" design, and the fact that is extremely unobtrusive. You can hardly even tell that it's there.

Works great, installation tricky till call inventor
The strap that holds the N-Gear Jump Stop Chain Guide on the frame looks like plastic and was too short to reach around the seat stay, and allow the screw to reach through far enough to engage the nut. With a phone call to the company I learned that the strap has fibers in it. Advice: soak it in water. I dropped the strap in water and left it there for a few days till I had time to deal with it again. When I pulled it out and dried it off, it fit perfectly. Since I installed the Jump Stop I've had no more problems with the chain coming off on shifts to the small sprocket. So, the product works as advertised, and the slight hassle of installation was worth it.

Simple solution to disrail problems
Works as well as expected. Pedalec conversion of my Trek 7 resulted in too many chain disrails. Dog fang could not handle the dimensions of a triple to single conversion. Bi-weekly disrails have reduced to monthly disrails and if I know that a high speed bumps will kill my thrill, I can downshift or keep pedaling in order to prevent it.Alignment issues are real because when you tighten the bracket it drifts. PITA--but once you get it aligned, it's all good.

Works great, especially on triples
Works great, especially on triples. Lets you set the front to shift more aggressively without risk of dropping the chain.

Brought it last year and didn't get around to putting it on until this year. Installation wasn't too bad. If you have a repair stand (I don't) that would probably help.

It is a very good safety and convenience addition to the bike drive system
I have installed 3 of these on different bikes. It is a very good safety and convenience addition to the bike drive system. It is unnecessarily difficult to put on.

Didn't fit around my derailer
It didn't fit my application. My front derailer is too low on the down tube and there isn't room for it. It seems sturdy enough and might actually work.

There's a small learning curve but not too bad. I'm not mechanic and if I can do ...
First one I ordered the strap was a fraction too long, returned it and bought the next size down. There's a small learning curve but not too bad.
