Read the manual. After shipping the unit may not appear to work, remove the battery for a few seconds and re insert the battery.

I’m Diabetic and have to check my glucose regularly throughout the day. This Machine and Strips are not Accurate at all, that’s why I have to use 50 strips in less than a week.
