Handy but Many Errors
This book still tracks after 30 years. It provides a quick informative look into Due Diligence step by step. You’d think this guy would have caught all the errors in the boom though since he had done a bunch of phase I’s. Cheap enough to get one for your rookie entry level scientists .

Worthless
I write PCAs and am asked to do data collection for ESAs. I wanted technical guidance to make my field notes relevant and make sure I'm not missing anything. This book is horribly edited and contains no real insight. Worthless. Do not buy.

Good info but who the hell was the editor?
This is not a comedy but you will laugh. There are so many typos in this book it is crazy. Besides that a great book with great info. This book will help you write a professional looking Phase I Assessment. It will also guide you thru everystep leading up to and presentation of the assessment to your client.

too many typos and incorrect usage errors
I found 10 typos & usage problems in the first 4 pages. This book couldn't have been edited by a professional. This is the worst example of shoddy editing and proofreading I have ever seen. Here are just two examples from page 15: "Checklists on what information should be gathered and can be located in Appendix B." The next sentence reads as follows: "Remember, the custodian is limited by time to complete the report it is usually 20 days from the site-visit to the submission of the report." It appears that it was written and edited by a non-English speaking person.
