Wonderful
We are using this book for our ladies bible study. We are only thru chapter 5 but it’s been a really good one to come together and discuss with other women and get back to our roots. Good for support and learning.

Excellent and encouraging
I bought this book written by Elizabeth Elliott for my devotional time in prayer. In face, I think that I bought three book by this same author at the same time. Each one is inspiring and helpful in my walk with Christ. This would make a perfect gift for a good friend, no doubt about it.

Gets to the heart of discipline.
Elizabeth Elliott is a good writer. It's not the "how to be disciplined" book, but the why. It's deep and gets to the heart of the matter. Thought provoking...in a good way, of course.A friend and are going to discuss it to help us keep better focused.

Best read with plenty of time
Don’t rush through this one. Slowly digest the words that are on the pages. Reflect. Allow the Holy Spirit to use these words to guide you through your journey.

Same book as “Discipline: the glad surrender”
I thought this was a different book, but after receiving it I realized quickly the only difference is the cover. I think it’s a bit deceptive. The book itself is great and has great info. Just beware not to purchase it twice :)

A MUST READ!
I highly recommend this book!I just admire Elizabeth Elliot and adore her work.If you have not read her book “Through the gates of Splendor” I do recommend reading it before this one; however, it is not a must. Joyful Surrender is a stand alone book that everyone should read.

I’ve read four of her books- this one was my favorite! Very biblical and practical advice for daily Christian life.
