Walla Man had me at just the packaging alone.
This is one of those rare products that immediately DELIGHTS a customer. The packaging is a gem; I can see these becoming collectors' items. Like the finest teas, this chai spice is packed in a light- and air-proof tin canister, with a tight-fitting inner lid. Two lids total. As it should be. When you open it, the scent will make you drool like a St. Bernard eyeing a T-bone on the counter. The taste of the chai blend is addictive, with just a touch of ginger and black pepper heat. The cinnamon plays a back-seat role. Ginger, clove, and cardamon predominate. It's a masterful mix.The spices are very finely ground. If you use a tea bag no straining is required. One less step to bliss. Truly a wonderful product, highly recommended.

Great taste and excellent value for chai tea latte at home
This is a great tasting chai spice for chai tea at home, and a terrific value over tea bags or smaller containers of the spice. I combine it with simple black tea bags, and creamer (Cinnamon Dolce Starbucks Creamer), and get the cheapest tastiest chair at home.

Excellent Masala Chai
This is a perfect blend of spices and closest you will get to authentic Indian Masala Chai other than grinding all the spices yourself. To those that complain it doesn't dissolve, it is not supposed to. It is ground perfectly to be infused in your tea. It does settle but when it does, those gritty spices have no more flavor. The flavors have been absorbed by the tea. Just don't drink the very bottom of the cup. There is no "cayenne" in this as one reviewer said but has a nice peppery after taste from the black pepper. Ginger is the strongest flavor. I use 1/4 tsp of spice and just a touch of stevia while I steep my black tea for 5 minutes. Then I froth some 2% milk and add it to the tea after removing tea bag. My husband is hooked and asks for it every morning. Keep the container well sealed as all fresh spices lose their potency to air over time.

Love the flavor. Hate the price gouge.
This product is as close to my favorite chaiwala in Dehradun as I have been able to find. Their flavor profile is spot on. I have been a loyal fan for the last several years. When my latest order arrived, I noticed the change in packaging, including the new shaker top. Okay, it makes it a little harder to control getting the right spice quantity in the cup, but not insurmountable. Then I noticed the new package contained on 2.1 oz instead of the customary 3.5 oz, but the price remained the same. Spicewalla, if you needed to raise the price, do it; I'm just really disappointed you tried to slip it past us.

Great spice blend, but why a shaker top?
I’ve tried a few masala chai spice blends without black tea included this year after a trip to India. I like this one very much. I find the cardamom in some other blends overpowering but this has a good balance for me.But why on earth put an unremovable shaker top on a container with something you may well want to measure? I’m hoping I can get the shaker off without destroying the cute container?***UPDATE It wasn’t easy but I did get the shaker top off and now it’s fine.

Perfect Masala Latte Coffee
Just a trick I found to make a nice hint of Masala Chia in your Latte. This makes the ratio perfect and not overpowering.1/4 teaspoon mix2 oz espresso2 oz hot water (for mix)4-6oz milk (depending on your liking) My wife likes more milkI use 2 oz of hot water to dissolve the 1/4 teaspoon of powder, mix in with my espresso, froth the milk and add it to the mix. Add a sweetener to your liking. Perfect
