Does the job
I had a lever rifle built with a 22" barrel, 8-1/2lb 50-100-450 and installed a thinner limbsaver pad on it. Shooting 530gr hard cast put a dent in your shoulder. A year later I had another 50-100-450 built on a lever rifle with an 18" barrel, 7-1/2lbs and installed this nitro limbsaver on it. Made a big difference considering the latest rifle is a full pound lighter. I am now ordering another nitro pad to install on the first rifle. Very good pad. Tames a lot of felt recoil, more of a big push with the nitro pad.

Almost no recoil
Took the kick right out of my wife's .308 .. was a little work to shape it and instal but once on it works great.

Looks good.
Went on, with only minor alteration. Have not gone to the range with that yet. Looks good.

Best Recoil Pad Money Can Buy
I upgraded to this from a standard recoil pad on a Remington 700 in .308. Previously, I would come home with a bruised shoulder after putting 100 rounds downrange. I took this out for the first time today and found that my .223 AR-15 now has more kick than the .308. I am still blown away by how well this recoil pad actually works. I left the range without a sore shoulder for the first time ever. This is the best investment for shooter comfort you can make hands down. I would buy it again without a second thought. (I actually plan on buying a slip fit one for my AR-15 as well.)

Great Pad
Limbsaver is one of the two best recoil pads in the business in my opinion for my intended use. This Nitro model, my first of that model, can serve two purposes; one to lengthen pull length and of course, to soften recoil. Any pad modifies pull length, but this one 1.5 inches puts it at or near the top as a one-shot adjustment.

458 lott
I run it on a 458 lott, I also tried a $200 hydraulic recoil pad, I like this better, installing it again, even though it means being out that $200 and I had to buy a new one of these as I ruined the last one to give that hydraulic pad a little more length of pull. So I've bought two of these for this gun as I come back and settle on this as the final pad. Works great, and the large pad size is great, I like the longer length to it but that'll be person dependent.

Makes shooting big bores more pleasureable.
My second "LimbSaver". Now I have one on my 30-30 (I put a slip-on LimbSaver on it 5 years ago), and one on my Mosin Nagant.( 7.62x54 similar in size and power to a 30-06 or a 308. Take your time fitting it to your stock. You can make it look like it is made for your gun. I used two different files, my dremel, and sand paper. Fits great and looks custom. Hint: Measure 4 times and cut once. Test-fit often. It does so much more than it implies. I am a small built guy, 5'9" tall and 155 lbs. At one shooting, in less than two hours, I put 15 rounds through my 30-30 and 40 rounds through the Mosin (It's mounted in an Archangel stock). It may as well been a 22 cal. I know I could put another hundred rounds through with no problems. It's worth every penny you pay for it. I will be buying more for a couple other guns.

Dont Buy this Online
You'd be better off taking your rifle to a gunshop and testing the fit before you purchase. I used the sizing template from Limbsaver to purchase this Recoil pad for my Mossberg 510 and it would NOT fit. The screw holes do not line up and so much has to be potentially ground off to make it fit that it's not worth the trouble. Coupled with the fact you cannot return the item, I can't recommend this to anyone. Again, you're better served by taking your rifle or shotgun to a gunshop and have them fit the pad directly.
